Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist (Services and Support) at Chartbeat, you will:
- Partner with Professional Services, Engineering, and customer-facing teams to understand client goals and translate them into analytical solutions
- Analyze large datasets using Python, SQL, Spark, and Jupyter and Deepnote Notebooks to uncover insights, diagnose anomalies, and support client needs
- Conduct hands-on feasibility assessments for new requests by reviewing code, data models, processing logic and developing prototypes
- Deliver scripts, data exports, and visualizations that help customers make data-driven decisions
- Lead discussions with clients to explain methodologies, communicate findings, and provide actionable recommendations
- Document analysis, workflows, and results in a clear, reproducible manner
- Contribute to the continuous maintenance and improvement of internal analytics processes and best practices, maintaining and automating workflows where possible to enhance efficiency and data quality.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies and work proactively to ensure high data quality.
About You
- 2+ years working as a Data Scientist, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment
- Solid knowledge of statistical models, as evidenced by a degree in a quantitative discipline
- Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis
- Hands-on experience with Spark and Jupyter and Deepnote Notebook
- Experience with version control (Git/GitHub)
- Knowledge of common data stores and data warehouses, particularly Snowflake, AWS S3 or similar is essential
- Comfort interacting directly with customers and presenting analytical findings in a clear, professional manner
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Bridges the gap between technical and business teams by clearly explaining methodologies, statistical outcomes, and key drivers of performance.
Salary Range: $110,000-$140,000 USD per year
