By providing organizations relief from surging healthcare costs, we've experienced rapid adoption in the market and have more than doubled our revenue annually over the last 5 years, becoming the fastest growing company in our space. About the role:

We’re looking for a Data Science Manager to drive the strategy and execution for our DataPro and clinical research products, two product suits that are core to Garner’s impact. DataPro is a provider-facing suite of data products used by some of the largest hospital systems and provider groups in the country to guide their referrals, network contracting, and internal provider assessment. Our clinical research products guide how we write, assess, transform, and combine the over 500 specialty-specific quality and efficiency metrics we use to evaluate doctors.

This role is internally called a Staff Data Product Manager and it will be reporting to the VP Data Product Management, you’ll partner closely with data scientists, clinical researchers, and data and software engineers to turn our data into high quality, actionable recommendations for both providers and patients.

Where you will work:

This is a hybrid role and will require up to 3 days in Garner’s New York City office.

What you will do:
  • Partner with data scientists and clinical experts to shape how we define performance metrics, apply statistical rules, and model provider behavior
  • Drive the evolution and construction of tools for our clinical researchers and data scientists to write, assess, and combine rules measuring provider behaviors
  • Understand our DataPro clients’ needs, define the product they receive, and shape the roadmap to make it more impactful over time
  • Collaborate closely with Garner’s data scientists, data and software engineers, clinical researchers, account managers, and external DataPro clients
What you will bring to the team:
  • 7+ years of product management, data science leadership, or technical strategy experience
  • Exceptional analytical and statistical problem solving, and the ability to partner effectively with data scientists and researchers to evaluate the strengths and tradeoffs of different modeling or measurement approaches
  • Experience managing a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in healthcare technology (preferred)
  • A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
  • Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment
  • A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Garner Health does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
Compensation Transparency:

The target salary range for this position is $240,000 - $260,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
