Role Overview
ServiceCore is seeking an energetic, ambitious and experienced Data Migration Engineer! This is a great opportunity to work with an amazing hybrid office team that’s based in Denver, CO.
You will report to the Head of CX Operations as a Data Migration Engineer. In this critical role, you'll transform how we handle customer data migrations by architecting and building intelligent automation systems that eliminate manual bottlenecks and revolutionize our data implementation processes. You'll own the complete data migration lifecycle while leveraging cutting-edge AI tools and Python scripting to create scalable solutions that multiply our team's effectiveness. This is a highly autonomous position for a strategic problem-solver who thrives on innovation and can seamlessly transition to hands-on customer work when needed.
Role and Responsibilities
To successfully deliver products in a fast paced working environment you will need to:
- Own End-to-End Data Migration Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive migration plans, define technical architecture, and ensure successful delivery from planning through completion
- Build & Optimize ETL Pipelines: Create robust, scalable ETL solutions that efficiently extract, transform, and load data from diverse customer systems and formats
- Drive AI Integration & Innovation: Research and implement cutting-edge AI/ML tools to rapidly develop intelligent applications, scripts, and ETL pipelines that automate data processes, proactively eliminate workflow bottlenecks, and improve customer onboarding speed
- Ensure Data Integrity & Quality: Implement rigorous automated validation, reconciliation, and error handling processes to maintain high data accuracy and reliability standards throughout all migration workflows
- Execute Hands-On Customer Data Implementations: When needed, work directly with customers to understand their existing data infrastructure, execute complex data imports, and resolve migration issues
- Maintain & Evolve Automation Ecosystem: Continuously improve and optimize the toolset for reliability, scalability, and adaptability while creating comprehensive documentation for team adoption
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with implementation specialists, engineering teams, and customer success to understand pain points and build solutions that address real operational challenges
Qualifications
- 2+ years of data engineering in a SaaS environment or software development experience with a strong focus on data migration, ETL, automation, or data engineering, with a proven track record of successful complex migrations
- Advanced Python expertise including proficiency with data manipulation libraries and API integrations
- Strong SQL proficiency across various database systems
- AI-Powered Automation Expertise: Proven track record of building tools/systems to automate manual processes, with demonstrated experience or strong interest in applying AI/ML and modern AI coding assistants to data challenges
- Full-Stack Development Capabilities: Ability to build complete applications including web interfaces, APIs, and data processing backends
- Customer-Facing Experience: Comfortable working directly with external customers to understand technical requirements and troubleshoot complex data issues
- Creative Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a creative approach to solving complex data challenges and developing innovative solutions
- Project Management & Communication: Experience managing technical projects from conception to deployment, with ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Startup Agility: Self-starter with growth mindset who thrives in fast-paced environments, is highly proactive and innovative, and can context-switch between building and executing
- Bonus: Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Base Salary: $100k - $165k (based on experience)
