The monthly salary range for this position is $10,000,000 to $12,600,000 COP. The salary range for performing this role outside of Colombia may differ. What You'll Do
- Build and maintain Python scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from client legacy systems into AffiniPay platforms.
- Design and execute robust data transformation processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity during migration.
- Work closely with clients to assist with data extraction and explain how their data has been migrated and where it resides in the new system.
- Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute migrations, working through Jira tickets and contributing to a shared Git codebase.
- Participate in daily standups and periodic client meetings to provide updates and resolve data-related challenges.
- Troubleshoot data issues and optimize migration performance.
About You
- Professional Experience: 3+ years of experience working professionally with Python in production environments.
- Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and experience writing complex queries.
- Data Transformation Skills: Fluent in data mapping, cleaning, normalization, and transformation.
- ETL Knowledge: Hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL processes.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git workflows and collaborative coding practices.
- Communication: Comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and clients.
- Problem Solver: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Jira or similar ticketing systems.
- Prior work on data migration projects involving fintech or legacy systems.
- Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
