We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our remote analytics team. This internship is designed for individuals who are eager to gain real-world experience working with data — whether you are a recent graduate, a student currently enrolled in a degree program, or a career-changer building foundational skills in data analysis.
As a Data Analyst Intern, you will work alongside experienced analysts and data professionals to collect, clean, analyze, and visualize data that drives real business decisions. You will not be fetching coffee or doing busywork — you will be contributing to meaningful projects from day one, learning industry-standard tools, and developing skills that translate directly into a full-time career in data.

What You Will Do
Data Collection & Cleaning
- Gather data from internal systems, databases, spreadsheets, and third-party sources
- Clean and standardize raw datasets by identifying and resolving errors, duplicates, missing values, and inconsistencies
- Organize and structure data so it is ready for analysis and reporting
- Document data sources, transformation steps, and data definitions clearly
Data Analysis
- Analyze datasets to identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and actionable insights
- Perform descriptive statistics including averages, distributions, correlations, and growth rates
- Support senior analysts in building and maintaining analytical models
- Assist in answering specific business questions using data-driven methodologies
- Break down complex data findings into clear, understandable summaries for non-technical stakeholders
Reporting & Data Visualization
- Build and maintain dashboards and visual reports using tools such as Google Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or Excel
- Create charts, graphs, and visual summaries that communicate findings clearly and accurately
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for internal teams and leadership
- Update existing reports with fresh data on a recurring basis
- Present findings in team meetings with clear, confident communication
Research & Support
- Conduct research to provide context around data findings including market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitor data
- Support the data team with ad hoc analysis requests from marketing, operations, finance, or product teams
- Assist in the development of data documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures
- Help identify gaps in current data collection processes and suggest improvements
Learning & Development
- Participate in weekly one-on-one mentorship sessions with your assigned senior analyst
- Complete assigned learning modules on data tools, best practices, and analytical frameworks
- Attend optional team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions to broaden your understanding of the business
- Set and track personal learning goals throughout the internship
What We Are Looking For
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and methods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets including formulas, pivot tables, and basic charting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and grow
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Exposure to SQL — ability to write basic queries to pull and filter data
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Looker Studio
- Basic knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation (pandas, NumPy, ggplot2)
- Experience working with large datasets or databases in an academic or professional setting
- Prior internship, coursework project, or personal project involving data analysis
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, or similar platforms is a plus

Work Environment & Schedule
This internship is 100% remote. We understand that interns may be balancing coursework, family responsibilities, or other commitments, and we have built this program with that in mind. You will have a structured weekly schedule of deliverables and check-ins, but the majority of your daily hours are yours to organize as you see fit.
You will be assigned a dedicated mentor who will meet with you weekly to review your progress, answer questions, and guide your development. You will also have access to the broader data team via Slack for day-to-day support. We believe the best learning happens when interns are given real responsibility alongside genuine support.
