- 🧭 Lead Data Stewardship
Build and operate a cross-functional data stewardship community. Onboard stewards, facilitate working sessions, and promote best practices. - 🛠️ Resolve Data Quality Issues
Investigate and document data quality challenges. Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and engineers to drive resolution. - 📚 Enhance Metadata & Catalogs
Define standards for business terms, data definitions, and lineage. Influence adoption across business and technical teams. - 🔐 Support Compliance & Security
Align with InfoSec, Privacy, Legal, and Compliance teams to operationalize controls that meet regulatory obligations.
- 6+ years in data governance, stewardship, or data management.
- Strong understanding of data quality, metadata, and stewardship principles.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience diagnosing data issues across datasets.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Ability to influence without authority and collaborate across teams.
- Excellent communication skills — you translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for data accuracy and consistency.
- Certifications like CDMP or DGSP.
- Experience with tools like Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or Microsoft Purview.
- Knowledge of data modeling and architecture.
- Exposure to Agile or Lean methodologies.
