This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of business, data, and governance—guiding customers through foundational decisions, translating requirements into action, and helping teams build confidence in how they manage and trust their data.

What You’ll DoLead Microsoft Purview Governance Enablement
  • Own the data governance setup in Microsoft Purview from a business and governance perspective
  • Partner closely with customers to define governance structures, roles, and processes
  • Guide customers through initial Purview adoption, best practices, and early-stage enablement
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers understand not just how to use Purview—but why
Configure and Execute the Purview Data Map
  • Assign and manage Purview Data Map roles for project team members
  • Register Azure data sources such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL Database
  • Configure and run metadata scans to ingest assets into Purview
  • Enable and validate data lineage
  • Partner with internal infrastructure teams on ADF or Synapse pipeline configuration for lineage tracking, when applicable
Build a Governed, Unified Data Catalog
  • Define and configure Unified Catalog roles
  • Establish a domain hierarchy aligned to the customer’s business
  • Create and manage data glossary terms and critical data elements
  • Define data products and associated data product policies
  • Associate cataloged data assets to data products to improve discoverability and trust
Support Data Health & Quality Visibility
  • Define and implement data quality rules (simple to medium complexity)
  • Review and interpret data quality metrics and reports
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve data health transparency and governance maturity

Note: This role is primarily data governance and business-focused. Platform and infrastructure configuration is supported by internal teams.

What You Bring
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including data catalog, lineage, glossary, and data products
  • Strong background in data governance, metadata management, and data quality
  • Experience working with Azure data services (Fabric, Synapse, Azure SQL, ADF)
  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM), including designing and implementing workflows that streamline data processes and ensure consistent, accurate data handling across the organization.
  • Ability to perform business analysis, gather requirements, and translate them into governance configuration
  • Comfortable working directly with customers and guiding early-stage adoption and change
Why Quisitive
  • Work with smart, collaborative consultants who care about doing meaningful work
  • Help customers establish strong data governance foundations—not just implement tools
  • Grow in an environment that values curiosity, accountability, and ownership
