We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to accurately enter, update, maintain, and verify information in company databases, spreadsheets, and computer systems. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent typing and organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

The Data Entry Clerk will handle confidential information, review documents for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and ensure records are complete and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter data accurately and efficiently into databases, spreadsheets, and company systems.
  • Review source documents for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Verify and correct data when necessary.
  • Update existing records and maintain accurate customer, inventory, financial, or administrative information.
  • Compare entered information against source documents to identify errors or discrepancies.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical files.
  • Scan, upload, label, and organize documents as required.
  • Process forms, invoices, orders, applications, reports, and other business documents.
  • Perform routine data cleanup and remove duplicate or outdated information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
  • Retrieve information and prepare basic reports when requested.
  • Respond to internal requests for data and documentation.
  • Follow company procedures for data entry, document management, and record retention.
  • Communicate data discrepancies or missing information to the appropriate department.
  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, and turnaround-time requirements.
  • Assist with administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
  • Support other departments with data-related tasks and special projects.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous data entry, administrative, clerical, or office experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good typing and keyboarding skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of data entry or administrative experience.
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, inventory, accounting, or database software.
  • Experience working with large amounts of information or records.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, formulas, sorting, and filtering.
  • Experience with document management systems.
