  • Deep understanding of cloud database architecture, PaaS vs IaaS, and hybrid cloud models
  • Strong command of T-SQL, PowerShell, and optionally Python or C# for automation and scripting
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
  • Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, or other healthcare data standards is a plus
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product, compliance, and clinical teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, especially around data lineage and auditability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Azure Fabric, Databricks or other big data platforms for large-scale healthcare analytics
  • Exposure to Python for data engineering, automation, or ML pipeline integration
  • Basic understanding of streaming data architectures (e.g., Azure Event Hubs, Kafka) and real-time analytics
  • Familiarity with Delta Lake, Parquet, or Lakehouse architectures
  • Understanding of data mesh principles and distributed data ownership models
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent
