Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Data Center Facility O&M Lead Engineer to join our team in Aurora, CO supporting a newly constructed facility.

This position will lead all aspects of facility operations to drive high-reliability and to continuously implement industry leading O&M methodologies and technologies. Directly focused on support facility infrastructure, i.e. resilient power distribution, cooling systems, facility management/industrial control systems, etc. Please note that this position does not include responsibilities for data management or data center rack operations but works closely with the data center management team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical and mechanical equipment,
    facilities, components, or systems for data center infrastructure operations
  • Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or
    engineering software and equipment
  • Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential
    engineering products or projects
  • Responsible for providing organizational leadership and technical oversight to facility
    operations and maintenance teams
  • Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by coordinating
    installation, construction, maintenance, documentation, support/testing activities
  • Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering
    projects and studies
  • Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials
  • Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation
  • Working with a variety of technicians
  • Engaged in final commissioning of facility to ensure required capabilities to meet customer requirements
  • Responsible for maintaining facility electrical and mechanical infrastructure in a newly
    constructed data center
  • Accountable for maintaining budget, identifying, justifying and implementing capital
    expenditures

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to obtain a Sensitive Compartmented Information classification pre-start
  • Ability to obtain an adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph pre-start
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience as a chief engineer in operation and/or maintenance
  • Proven leader of Facility O&M teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Professional Engineer license
  • Experience working with U.S. Government customer
  • Uptime Institute Certification

Summary pay range: $170,000 - $200,000
