Ballard Spahr is seeking a Data Analytics Manager responsible for the architecture, design, development, and management of the Firm’s reporting and analytics infrastructure. This individual will lead a team and define requirements and architect semantic models, translating data modeling and business intelligence requirements into effective design.

The position of Data Analytics Manager necessitates engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders, utilizing established communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities to optimize the firm’s technology investments. This position is remote if located in a State with a Ballard presence.

Your Role:

As a Data Analytics Manager within our Information Technology Team, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing data solutions using Microsoft technologies that support enterprise systems, client requirements, and business intelligence dashboards and reports.

  • Developing and/or overseeing the development of ad-hoc business intelligence reports and dashboards.

  • Developing and maintaining robust shared semantic models with integrated complex security, ensuring accessibility and usability for both data professionals and business users.

  • Overseeing the preparation and delivery of reports, recommendations, and/or alternatives for improving data management and business intelligence processes and systems across the enterprise, according to defined best practices.

  • Communicating business and technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences (including at times, senior management).

  •  Partnering with various business units in the organization to facilitate implementation of new or improved business processes/systems.

Required Experience:

College diploma in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or management information systems preferred and at least 5 years of related work experience. Prior law experience and/or familiarity with legal-specific technologies are a plus. The ability to demonstrate effective management skills by leading and motivating a team of data analysts and report specialists.  In-depth business intelligence experience, with data modeling design implementation, optimization and interconnectivity methodologies. Strong experience in Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric technologies to design and implement efficient data solutions and workflows.
