Company Overview
Swish Analytics is a sports analytics, betting, and fantasy startup building the next generation of predictive sports data products. We believe that oddsmaking is a challenge rooted in engineering, mathematics, and deep domain expertise—not intuition. We're looking for team-oriented individuals with a passion for real-time data and business insight who thrive in fast-paced, creative environments. Our work spans uncharted territory, and we value candidates who are excited about scaling reliable systems and tools that inform decision-making across internal teams and enterprise partners.

Job Description
Swish Analytics is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Trading Analytics team. This individual will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the dashboards, datasets, and reporting tools that power decision-making across the company. As the primary steward of our Superset BI platform, you will manage reporting infrastructure, support cross-functional teams, and ensure reliable and scalable access to insights for our trading, product, and leadership teams. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the full lifecycle of dashboards and reporting assets within Superset, including design, development, documentation, and user access
  • Partner with stakeholders in Trading, Product, and Engineering to define and deliver KPIs, metrics, and data visualizations
  • Build and maintain SQL-based datasets and derived tables to power reporting tools
  • Develop and maintain analyses around trading performance, pricing accuracy, and KPI reporting
  • Monitor the health and quality of data assets across pipelines and reporting layers
  • Support internal users in interpreting data, self-serving insights, and building lightweight reporting artifacts
  • Perform QA on datasets, validate dashboard accuracy, and respond to ad hoc analytical requests
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and improved reporting workflows
  • Monitor report usage and contribute to BI governance and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in a BI, analytics, or data analyst role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (preferably MySQL or Athena/Trino)
  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards in Superset or similar BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
  • Experience with Python for data analysis, QA automation, and building lightweight applications (e.g., Streamlit, Dash)
  • Experience working in cloud data environments (AWS preferred)
  • Experience working with Git and familiarity with Git-based workflows
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sports, trading, or fintech data environments
  • Exposure to real-time or streaming data tools (e.g., Kafka)
  • Familiarity with OLAP systems and dimensional modeling
  • Experience working cross-functionally with data engineers, product managers, and end users

Base salary: Starting at $115,000
