What We Need
As Synapse continues to scale and enhance its market-leading technology platform, the Data Analyst will play a critical role in developing reports and delivering data-driven insights to support a variety of analytics use cases. This position will contribute to the organization's growth by turning complex data into actionable solutions, supporting key business decisions, and driving operational efficiency.
What You Will Do
- You'll be transforming data into actionable insights for variety of business domains.
- Meet with stakeholders - from business and product - to understand metric/KPI/Reporting requirements and convert them into analytical solutions.
- Understand healthcare data and derive industry standard reports
- Model new datasets that can be consumed by wider audience within the company.
- Build shared knowledge across domains and champion methods of self-serve analytics
- Rapid prototype new functionality via dashboards to help business stakeholders explore various scenarios.
- Become an SME of data related to one or more domains
- Share responsibility to mature the data platform and its processes
What You Have
At Synapse Health we’ve intentionally built a culture of kindness, collaboration, and creativity, and we consider those qualities to be table stakes for any new team member. In addition, this role requires:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or other related majors, plus at least 3 years of experience a Data Analyst, BI Engineer or similar role, or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Prior experience working with modern data stack.
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Experience with Snowflake/Databricks or similar cloud databases.
- Experience with at least one data visualization tool required – Sigma/Looker preferred.
- Experience in ELT data modeling, especially with DBT is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey the analytical story behind every dashboard.
- Ability to support data platform day-to-day operations.
- Proven ability to learn new skills and tools as the platform matures.
- Healthcare experience is preferred.
