Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics team. In this role, you will play a key part in providing accurate and insightful data to support business decisions across various departments. You’ll be responsible for creating and automating reports, contributing to the management of our data lake, and ensuring our data processes are smooth, efficient, and scalable. The ideal candidate will take initiative, bring fresh ideas, and be excited about turning complex data into meaningful insights that drive our business forward.

As a Data Analyst at TurboTenant, you will:

  • Leverage SQL and other tools to develop, automate, and maintain reports and dashboards that drive business decisions for various departments.
  • Work proactively to anticipate the data needs of teams and deliver timely, accurate, and actionable insights.
  • Contribute to the creation and integration of new data sources into TurboTenant’s data lake, utilizing ETL processes, SQL, and automation tools such as Python, Make, and Zapier.
  • Develop compelling data visualizations to communicate complex insights in a simple and engaging way, empowering teams to take strategic actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and seamless functionality of data sources.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize reporting processes, providing actionable recommendations to improve data-driven strategies.
  • Work autonomously while maintaining a collaborative spirit, taking initiative to identify and address opportunities for improvement across departments.
  • Maintain and improve the organization and structure of the data lake, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for all departments.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 2+ years of experience in a data analytics role with a strong background in analyzing and interpreting complex data.
  • Expertise in writing complex, highly optimized SQL queries, with experience in Athena/Presto or PostgreSQL preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other data visualization tools (bonus points for Metabase).
  • Hands-on experience with data automation and ETL processes, including leveraging Python or other automation tools.
  • A proactive mindset with a keen ability to identify and act on opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality, actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Programming experience with Python or R.
  • Experience with Metabase.
  • Knowledge of AWS S3, Glue, and Athena for data storage and processing.
  • Familiarity with API integration and data ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with GitHub or other code version control platforms.

TurboTenant has offices in Fort Collins and Denver, Colorado. Face-to-face time is an essential aspect of the TurboTenant culture, and the ideal candidate for this role would be expected in the Denver office once a week (more if preferred).

Compensation range for this position is $106,000 - $114,000 + equity. The actual compensation offered will be based on experience.
