Why Clarium?

The healthcare industry overspends on its supply chain by over $25B each year, the result of fragmented data, inefficient workflows, and wasted supplies. Clarium is fixing that. Our AI-powered platform, Astra OS, gives hospitals end-to-end visibility into their supply chain operations, automating workflows and surfacing actionable insights so supply chain teams can focus on what matters most: patient care. We're trusted by some of the world's leading health systems, including Yale New Haven Health, Stanford, Geisinger, and Kaiser Permanente.

Founded in 2020, Clarium has raised $43M in total funding. Our Series A was led by Northzone, with participation from General Catalyst, AlleyCorp, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Texas Medical Center Ventures, and 1984 Ventures.

The Opportunity

Clarium is looking for a Data Analyst to turn raw data into decisions. You'll partner with teams across the business to answer their hardest questions, building the queries, models, and dashboards that show what's actually happening and why.

This role is a strong fit for someone who is equally comfortable writing a complex SQL query, cleaning a messy dataset in Python, and explaining the result to a non-technical stakeholder without jargon.

In This Role You Will

  • Write and optimize SQL to extract, join, and aggregate data across large relational datasets

  • Use Python to clean, transform, and analyze data that doesn't fit neatly into a query

  • Independently explore datasets to surface trends, anomalies, and opportunities the business hasn't thought to ask about yet

  • Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports that stakeholders actually use

  • Partner with product and customer success teams to scope ambiguous questions into answerable analyses

  • Investigate data quality issues and work with engineering to resolve them at the source

  • Document data definitions, metrics, and methodology so results are reproducible and trusted

  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

What we're looking for

  1. 3+ years of professional experience in an analytics, data, or business intelligence role

  2. Strong proficiency in SQL — comfortable with joins, window functions, CTEs, and query optimization against large tables

  3. Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis (e.g. pandas, NumPy, Jupyter)

  4. Hands-on experience working with relational databases; PostgreSQL and Snowflake strongly preferred

  5. Working knowledge of Git for version control — branching, pull requests, and collaborating on a shared codebase

  6. Demonstrated ability to work independently — scoping your own analyses from a vague business question, and proactively identifying what's worth investigating without being handed a spec

  7. Track record of building dashboards and reporting that others rely on

  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience working with healthcare data — claims, EHR/EMR, eligibility, clinical, or patient-level data

  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards and privacy requirements (HIPAA, PHI/PII handling, HL7/FHIR, ICD/CPT coding)

  • Experience with hospital cost and operations data — ERP / supply chain (purchasing, inventory), resource and procedure utilization, and charge data (chargemaster, charge capture)

  • Experience with dbt or similar modern analytics engineering workflows

  • Experience with BI and visualization tools (Sigma, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar)

What You Get at Clarium
