Data Analyst I

Gridium’s mission is to hasten the transition to a low-carbon economy. Our software helps people run commercial buildings better, at lower cost, and with less energy. Gridium is looking for a Data Analyst to help us manage the next generation of energy and operations software tools for buildings. This is an entry level position focused mostly on data entry.

About the job

A Data Analyst will be responsible for entering and auditing customer data, primarily utility bills and usage data. A Data Analyst will:

  • Provision new accounts: collecting all necessary information from PDF bills and utility websites and setting up that information in our internal tools.

  • Assist with stale data: checking utility websites to make sure we have the most recent data possible.

  • Audit utility bills and interval data: reviewing bills to ensure that the billing information matches the utility bill PDF and a number of other audits.

  • Upload usage and bill data: collecting data from excel and PDF files, formatting it for upload and uploading into a database.

  • Ad hoc data entry/management projects.

Requirements
  • We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, a fast starter and comfortable with working in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Intermediate or better competency with Microsoft Excel is a must.

  • Prior experience with data entry and analysis preferred, especially if experience is with utility bills or data.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • You must currently live in, and have the legal right to work in the United States.

About Gridium

Gridium is a venture-backed SaaS application provider with a mission to bring cost-effective energy savings to commercial real estate. We have been delivering deep energy savings to our customers for fourteen years, and we are now growing faster than ever due to increasing demand for real energy solutions.

We have been an all-remote company since our founding, and we love the flexibility it affords. Remote work allows you to structure your day with minimal interruption so that you can get stuff done in the style that makes most sense for you. (And if for you that means an office in a coworking space, we’ll provide that too.)

Spending time face-to-face is important, so several times each year we pick a city and meet up for several days of highly productive and fun planning and doing. We have a casual, cooperative work environment where everyone’s ideas matter.

And of course

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Benefits

The position comes with an annual salary of $50,000, stock options, 401(k) match, a great health plan, vision, dental, life insurance, disability insurance, generous parental leave, and a flexible vacation policy — we want you to take the time off you need so that you are happy and productive.
