JOB SUMMARY:

The Cybersecurity Engineer/Scrum Master leads Agile Scrum activities and collaborates with Product Owners, Cyber Engineering, and stakeholders to integrate and test secure solutions. This role develops and validates patches for software, hardware, and firmware; manages vulnerabilities through IAVMs, CTOs, CVEs, vendor patches, and STIG configurations; and ensures compliance by documenting installation steps, validating system baselines, and supporting security audits. The engineer partners with developers and vendors to resolve integration issues, provides feedback to leadership, and drives continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying best security engineering practices.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced team environment.
  • Understanding of DoD best practices for confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of systems is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with STIGs, NIST standards, and security controls.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification
  • Understanding of software development life cycles and testing processes.
  •  

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 2+ years of related cyber professional experience.
  • Administrative experience with Window and/or Linux systems
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start.
  • Experience and knowledge of Patch Management systems.
  • Experience and knowledge of Agile Methodologies.

EDUCATION:  

  • Bachelors degree with 2 years related professional experience, or Masters degree with 0 years related professional experience.

LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site in Colorado Springs, CO

CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT: Secret

DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: IAT - Level II

SALARY RANGE:  $100,000 - $122,000

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
