We are seeking a Security Engineering/Operation Intern to join our Security Engineering and Operations team. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in safeguarding complex systems while working with experienced security professionals. The intern will contribute to our mission of ensuring data protection and fostering a security-first culture, gaining valuable insights into security engineering, cloud operations, and automation.

What you'll get to do:
- Assist in monitoring, configuring, and maintaining security tools such as SIEMs, endpoint protection platforms, and vulnerability scanners.
- Investigate and triage security alerts by analyzing logs and system activity across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Support the incident response process by documenting findings and aiding in containment or remediation steps.
- Automate repetitive security tasks by developing and maintaining scripts or playbooks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Participate in reviews of infrastructure and cloud configurations to identify misconfigurations or policy violations.
- Contribute to improving and maintaining security documentation, including SOPs, detection rules, and runbooks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security-related initiatives to support secure development and operations practices.
You should apply if you have most of this experience:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Familiarity with core security concepts such as authentication, encryption, and common attack techniques.
- Exposure to security tooling in areas like log analysis, endpoint protection, or vulnerability management.
- Ability to script or automate tasks using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Comfort working in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to understand complex systems.
- Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
