LOCATION: Full Time/On-Site at Schriever SFB Colorado Springs, CO

SALARY: $100,000 - $122,000

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Cyber A&A Engineer will utilize their Assessment & Authorization (A&A) background to analyze ACAS/SCC/ConfigOS scans and controls for continuous system Authorization. The successful candidate will be expected to work in collaboration with program & external stake holders to assess system vulnerabilities, account management, generate engineering responses for system POA&Ms, and conduct risk analysis for Risk Acceptance Requests (RARs). TS is required. Preferred with SCI eligibility.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Required:  
    • Solid Cybersecurity engineering skills with working knowledge of Cyber technologies, DoDI 8500.2 and Risk Management Framework (RMF) 800-53
    • Excellent technical document preparation and verbal communication
    • Thorough understanding of ACAS/SCC outputs
    • Hands-on experience reviewing scan data, STIGs and RMF controls
  • Desired:  
    • Experience managing Cyber Tasking Orders (CTO)/IAVMs and POA&Ms
    • Experience working with 3rd party assessors and auditors
    • Experience performing self-assessments and analyzing STIGs
    • Experience with eMASS/Xacta and the accreditation of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
    • Experience with the management & auditing of accounts
    • Knowledge/Understanding of patch & configuration management of complex and disparate enterprise systems
    • The Cyber A&A Engineer may need to assist in the creation and maintenance of system packages in eMASS/Xacta
    • The primarily work location for this position is at Schriever Space Force Base with occasional travel to HWY 83
    • TS/SCI is highly desired

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS PREFERRED: 

  • Career level typically with an advanced degree and 3+ years experience or bachelors with 5+ years experience or equivalent

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3-5+

8570/8140 REQUIREMENT: Must have an IAT Level II (8570) Compliant Certification such as Security+ CE, CASP+CE, GSEC, SSCP, CND, GICSP, etc. 

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Top Secret, TS/SCI desired


Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
