About the Role:
We’re looking for a talented Cyber Cloud Strategist to join our growing team! This role is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive transition of networks and applications, ensuring compliance with various federal directives and security standards. In this high-impact role, you’ll provide technical expertise on computer security laws, mandates, standards, and policies in accordance with FISMA and NIST SPs.

Basic Requirements:

  • 4+ years of technical experience designing and deploying secure, scalable cloud solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or other related fields
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN AND RESIDE IN THE U.S. All work must be performed in the U.S.
  • Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Public Trust U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as this work is for a federal government client. Candidates will need to successfully complete a Background Investigation (BI) and credit check prior to beginning work. Nothing in applicants’ history should prevent them from obtaining a public trust security clearance.

Description:
The Cyber Cloud DevSecOps (Enterprise Integration Focus) role unifies cloud engineering, security automation, and systems integration to ensure secure and seamless interoperability between cloud-based and on-premises systems. This role applies DevSecOps principles to the design, implementation, and monitoring of enterprise integration services, including API management, middleware platforms, ETL pipelines, and cloud-native services. The engineer ensures that data and services flow securely, efficiently, and in compliance with federal standards (NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA) across hybrid environments.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Systems Integration: Design, implement, and maintain integration of cloud and on-premises systems, ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant interoperability.
  • API & Middleware Management: Architect, secure, and optimize API gateways, middleware platforms, and service meshes for performance and scalability.
  • ETL & Data Flows: Develop automated ETL pipelines to enable secure and efficient data exchange across diverse platforms.
  • DevSecOps Automation: Embed security, testing, and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines supporting integration workflows.
  • Cloud-Native Services: Leverage AWS, Azure, and GCP services (e.g., Lambda, EventBridge, Pub/Sub, API Gateway) to streamline integration and service delivery.
  • Enterprise Integration Services: Manage implementation and operations of enterprise integration platforms, monitoring availability, performance, and security.
  • Security & Compliance: Apply zero-trust principles and automated policy enforcement across integration points to meet DHS/public trust requirements.
  • Collaboration: Partner with developers, cloud architects, and data engineers to deliver secure, resilient, and automated integration solutions.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in systems integration, middleware, or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Proficiency with API management platforms (Apigee, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management).
  • Strong knowledge of middleware technologies (MuleSoft, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Service Bus).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and scripting (Python, SQL, Informatica, Talend).
  • Infrastructure-as-Code expertise (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • CI/CD pipeline automation with GitLab/Jenkins including security gates.
  • Knowledge of NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (Splunk, ELK, CloudWatch, Prometheus).

Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
  • HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CCSP.
