The Senior Customer Technical Project Manager (CTPM) is a pivotal role responsible for the end-to-end technical leadership and strategic management of highly complex and strategic customer projects within Nokia. This role ensures the successful execution of all technical management activities as defined in customer contracts, upholding the highest standards of quality, managing technical risks proactively, and adhering to agreed timelines throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Act as the primary technical authority and strategic reference for complex, large-scale customer projects, providing expert guidance to project and technical teams.
- Lead all technical activities defined in customer contracts across medium to large projects with medium to high complexity and risk, covering the full lifecycle from delivery preparation through acceptance and care.
- Serve as the lead technical point of contact and first level of technical escalation for customers, ensuring transparent communication and trusted relationships.
- Partner closely with the Project Execution Owner (PEO) to provide technical input for project planning and support achievement of delivery and acceptance milestones.
- Validate workload estimates and required expertise, overseeing technical resource allocation, onboarding, release, and skill readiness throughout the project.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks through structured analysis and implementation of actionable mitigation strategies.
- Support the PEO in ensuring an effective technical handover to operations, confirming all agreed actions and readiness criteria are met.
- Contribute to business development by identifying technical opportunities (e.g., expansions, features, software improvements) and supporting solution reviews to drive continuous optimization.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent required.
- Strong understanding of core telecom network architectures, including SDM, IMS, EPC, and 5G Core.
- Proficient in cloud infrastructure solutions for the telecom industry, including Nokia Cloud Platform, Red Hat OpenStack Platform (OSP), and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex software integrations across mobile core networks, including IMS, LTE, and VoWiFi technologies.
- Deep expertise in orchestration and lifecycle management of cloud, IP networks, and applications, including end-to-end delivery automation using CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong leadership in critical technical activities such as core network implementation, system acceptance, multi-vendor interface verification, fault and escalation management, and HW/SW upgrades.
- Demonstrated capability in performing technical risk analysis, defining mitigation strategies, and executing actions to minimize project impact.
