Role Overview

The Platform Solutions Engineer (PSE) serves as a technical bridge between Optimal Dynamics' platform, customer operations, and internal teams. This role supports both new deployments and existing customers, helping to implement data integrations, calibrate optimization models, monitor post-deployment performance, and resolve technical issues. The PSE plays a hands-on role in ensuring that customer solutions are technically sound, stable, and aligned with operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Integration
  • Design and maintain data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load transportation data from diverse customer sources
  • Integrate customer systems using APIs, flat files, SFTP, or direct database connections
  • Ensure data completeness, accuracy, and alignment with optimization requirements
  • Troubleshoot integration and data issues in collaboration with internal and external teams
Model Calibration & Platform Configuration
  • Support the calibration of optimization and simulation models based on customer constraints and operational goals
  • Translate solution design inputs into executable platform configurations
  • Validate optimization outputs against expected results and customer rules
  • Iterate on model parameters and configuration settings based on feedback and performance metrics
Post-Deployment Monitoring & Support
  • Monitor system and model performance to ensure sustained solution effectiveness
  • Identify and implement calibration or integration updates based on live operations and customer feedback
  • Provide ongoing support for transitioned customers, including resolving support tickets
  • Serve as an escalation point for initial technical issues post-deployment
  • Contribute to the evolution of internal deployment playbooks and technical tooling
Customer & Internal Collaboration
  • Partner with Solutions Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and Product teams to align technical execution with business needs
  • Participate in project planning, internal handoffs, and customer meetings as needed
  • Maintain clear documentation of data flows, configurations, and troubleshooting paths
  • Help inform product and process improvements through insight gained from customer interactions
Product & Analytics Support
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Optimal Dynamics platform and product roadmap
  • Support internal analytics and business intelligence tools to improve customer visibility and platform monitoring
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support, solutions engineering, or customer-facing engineering role, ideally within a SaaS or logistics technology environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify, isolate, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in writing and maintaining technical documentation and user guides.
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL), APIs, and common support tools (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, Confluence).
  • Experience working with data and business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Pay Range
$90,000$130,000 USD
