We work with over 5,000+ teams around the world, empowering coaches, managers and trainers in premier teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, EPL, AFL, NRL, NCAA and more. We provide the information they need to optimize athletes’ health, game-day readiness, and performance, as well as in-game tactics .
Catapult is a sports technology company that empowers professional teams to make data-driven decisions. We deliver health, performance, video, and AI insights from the locker room to competitive environments, ensuring every decision is an opportunity to gain an advantage, sharpen performance, and build lasting success.
WE WANT PEOPLE WHO ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT SOCCER TACTICS, INTEGRATED VIDEO + WEARABLES, AND REVENUE-DRIVEN CUSTOMER SUCCESS
We are looking for a talented, proactive, and field-oriented Customer Success Specialist (Tactics & Coaching - Soccer) whose drive for elite performance aligns with our ambitious, fast-growing company. Based in the United States, you will be a key driver in onboarding, supporting, and elevating our professional soccer accounts across North America (MLS, USL, NWSL, and elite academies).
You will bridge the gap between tactical data (Impect/packing data), video analysis workflows (Focus/MatchTracker), athlete performance tracking (Catapult Wearables/GPS Integration), and organizational communication (Catapult Hub). Working hand-in-hand with our Business Development Managers (BDMs), you will play a critical commercial and strategic role: retaining existing clients, expanding product adoption, and identifying revenue opportunities and service threats beyond day-to-day user requests, reading executive and directional shifts within sports organizations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- High-Impact Presentations & Industry Representation: Design and deliver compelling, high-value presentations and technical workshops tailored for professional clubs, federations, and high-level decision-makers. Represent Catapult as a speaker and subject matter expert at small tactical roundtables, large federation assemblies, industry conferences, and major business events.
- Full-Ecosystem Workflow Enablement (Video + GPS + Hub): Onboard and train professional soccer clubs on Catapult’s integrated suite: Video Analysis (Focus/MatchTracker), Integrated Wearable/GPS Data, Tactical Metrics (Impect), and Catapult Hub for organization-wide video and data sharing across technical staff, executive leadership, and players.
- Client Transition & Value Enablement: Support soccer clubs transitioning to Impect, Focus, and Catapult video platforms. Work alongside team analysts and performance staff to align analytical workflows with Impect data sets and Catapult wearable metrics, ensuring seamless migration and rapid time-to-value (hands-on data engineering is a plus, but consultative workflow guidance is the primary focus).
- Proactive Account Retention & Business Intelligence: Act as a trusted strategic consultant for Performance Directors, Head Analysts, and Technical Staff. Look beyond routine user tickets to evaluate account health, understand high-level club decisions, and protect core revenue.
- High-Frequency Field Presence & On-Site Support: Travel extensively across North America to conduct hands-on training, provide match-day or pre-season support, facilitate tactical workshops, and represent Catapult at key industry events and league meetings.
- Voice of the Customer & Product Alignment: Collect structured feedback from elite soccer analysts and coaches across video, GPS integration, and Hub features, collaborating with Product Management to influence the tactical software roadmap.
- Proven Applied Background in Soccer Analysis: 3+ years of experience working within professional soccer environments (MLS, USL, NWSL, or elite collegiate level) as a Video Analyst, Tactical Analyst, or Performance Specialist.
- Exceptional Public Speaking & Content Creation Skills: Proven ability to create value-driven, professional presentation decks and deliver engaging keynote speeches or workshops to executive audiences, federations, large industry groups, or intimate club boardrooms.
- Integrated Software & Tactical Data Proficiency: Direct experience with professional video analysis software (Focus, MatchTracker, Hudl Sportscode, or similar), exposure to advanced tactical data platforms (Impect, StatsBomb, Opta, or similar), and familiarity with integrated Video + GPS/Wearables workflows and organization sharing platforms (Catapult Hub or similar).
- Commercial Acumen & Strategic Awareness: Ability to distinguish technical user feedback from commercial opportunities (upsell, cross-sell) and account risks (churn threats, executive decision shifts).
- Established Industry Network: Strong existing professional network and relationships with technical, tactical, video, and performance staff across MLS and USL organizations.
- High Travel Availability & Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 50%+ time) across the US and North America, including weekend travel aligned with match-day schedules.
- Strong Communication & Consultative Mindset: Exceptional ability to translate complex tactical data models, video integration, and physical data into actionable insights for Head Coaches, Analysts, and Sporting Directors.
In 6 months time…
- You will have established a joint commercial cadence with the BDM, completing account audits across primary MLS and USL accounts to identify upsell paths and mitigate churn risks.
- You will have built a portfolio of high-value presentation decks and delivered successful keynotes/workshops at regional soccer clinics, federation meetings, and key club accounts.
- You will have led successful client implementations of the integrated Video + GPS ecosystem and Catapult Hub across key professional soccer accounts.
- You will be fully autonomous in conducting on-site training workshops across North America for Focus, Impect, and Hub workflows.
In 12 months time…
- You will have achieved industry-leading retention rates and directly contributed to expansion ACV in collaboration with the BDM across your soccer portfolio.
- You will be recognized as a leading voice and speaker for Catapult at major sports tech conventions, business summits, and US Soccer/MLS/USL events.
- You will have established Catapult Hub and the integrated Video + GPS solution as the standard operational workflow across designated MLS and USL clubs.
- You will serve as an internal Subject Matter Expert for soccer tactical workflows and commercial account management within the Customer Success organization.
