Nofence is a Norwegian scale up who has built the world’s first virtual fencing solution for livestock. As we aim to revolutionize livestock management we will need top-notch competence in our US Customer Success team, and we are now looking for a Customer Success Specialist. Elevate your career with us and be at the forefront of innovation in agricultural technology!

About the role

Your mission will be to help existing customers succeed in getting the most value from choosing to work with Nofence.

We strive to create and cultivate excellent customer relations. This requires that we understand our customers' needs and guide them through how to best utilize our product. We will offer full training in our product and customer support system, but previous experience working directly with farmers and livestock is a major advantage.

The position involves a balanced combination of customer success, technical support, and product education. You will provide proactive advice and support to ensure Nofence customers get the absolute most out of their virtual fencing system. We are looking for a structured, empathetic, and enthusiastic team member who is eager to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to all aspects of the role. You are self-motivated, energetic, hardworking, and bring an agricultural background. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to grow alongside the company, with endless opportunities for professional development.

Main Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Customer Onboarding: Guide farmers and livestock producers through their critical first 90 days, leading them through pasture mapping, app configuration, and animal conditioning/training protocols.

  • Nurture Customer Relationships: Maintain proactive touch points with existing customers to secure a continued high level of satisfaction, support renewals, and identify opportunities for account expansion.

  • Inbound Support & Troubleshooting: Promptly resolve software, app, and hardware questions via phone, email, and our ticketing system, translating complex technical issues into clear, practical instructions.

  • Hardware Logistics: Support customers with collar maintenance, solar/battery health diagnostics, and coordinating physical collar replacements.

  • CRM and Case Documentation: Keep rigorous, up-to-date customer records, logging all support interactions and product feedback in our CRM system.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Document, structure, and escalate technical product performance trends to our Product and Engineering departments to drive continuous improvement.

  • Travel and Representation: Represent Nofence at regional agricultural trade shows, community events, and occasionally on-site at customer operations.

About youQualifications & Experience
  • Agricultural Competence: A solid background that enables you to confidently answer questions related to pasture management, rotational grazing, animal welfare, or general livestock operations (highly preferred).

  • Customer-Facing Experience: Proven experience in a customer success, technicalsupport, account management, or customer-facing role, preferably within a tech, agtech, or hardware-enabled SaaS company.

  • Educational Flexibility: A degree or equivalent qualification in an agricultural, business, or technical field is a plus; however, outstanding practical farming or customer support experience can fully compensate.

  • Technical Aptitude: A keen interest in IoT and hardware, with the ability to quickly master and explain GPS mapping, cellular connectivity, and mobile app features.

  • Communication Mastery: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to speak professionally to agricultural producers and internal technical teams alike.

Personal Attributes
  • Independent & Self-Driven: Comfortable operating remotely, setting daily priorities, and taking complete ownership of customer issues.

  • Efficient & Structured: Detail-oriented with a love for clean organization, systematic documentation, and robust workflows.

  • Customer-Centric Heart: Genuinely motivated by helping farmers improve their profitability, reclaim their time, and enhance livestock welfare.

  • Collaborative Spirit: A team player who thrives in a supportive, cross-functional global environment.

About Nofence

Managing livestock has always been a challenge. Humanity has tried everything from herding with dogs to walling the animals in with barbed wire, electric, and wooden fences, but these are costly and time-consuming solutions and often in conflict with the local wildlife. It has also left vast areas of potential pasture overgrown and underutilized.
Until now.
Enter Nofence.
What started as a small group of farmers and engineers with a big idea has become Nofence – the world’s first virtual fencing solution for livestock. Curious about how it works? Find out more here.
