The Role
Working closely with new customers and their IT teams across a range of commercial and government sectors, your key role will be the successful uptake and integration of their legacy archive into Preservica’s Active digital preservation solution.
You will take the lead in the upload and ingest of large volumes of digitized and born digital content, configuring roles and security and integrating and mapping to catalogs and metadata standards
Ideally with a background in records management or SaaS service integration, you will have established real-life best practice workflows, ingest routines and data/metadata mapping, using custom scripts and APIs. Equally you will have sound project management skills, and a customer centric can-do attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage archiving best practices and process frameworks, to drive continual process improvement.
- Create scripts to support customer specific use cases.
- Utilize APIs.
- Stay abreast of trends in digital archiving, data management, technologies, sourcing, policies, procedures, and other external changes that could have an impact on client operations.
- Achieve high levels of Customer satisfaction in the utilization of our SaaS products.
- Act as escalation point for all requests and incidents and communicate appropriately to customers and internally
What We Look For:
- Previous hands-on experience with records management systems or digital archiving solutions or similar.
- Proficiency in any scripting languages; Python, Bash or similar.
- Practical understanding of REST, API’s, SDK’s etc.
- Experience with XML.
- Familiarity with MODS, METS, PREMIS and other metadata standards relevant to digital preservation and libraries. (We can teach you this)

Location:
This role can be operated remotely from a base within Eastern or Central time zones. Our office is located in Boston MA.
