As the Creative Director at Schoox, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our visual brand identity and creative asset development. This is a hands-on creative leadership role: you will set creative strategy, drive execution, and raise the quality bar across every touchpoint working in close partnership with a curated mix of creative agencies and production partners rather than managing a large internal team. You bring both the strategic vision and the leadership to manage a high-volume creative environment without diluting the brand’s visual quality.
How You Will Impact Schoox
● Creative Strategy: Develop and implement creative strategies that align with our brand objectives, messaging, and business goals.
● Agency & Partner Management: Select, brief, and manage a roster of creative agencies and freelance partners. Set clear creative expectations, drive accountability to brand standards, and ensure agency output is on-strategy, on-brand, and on-time. You are the creative authority; agencies execute under your direction.
● Brand Development: Continually evolve and refine the brand identity, ensuring consistency across all creative assets, including visual design, tone of voice, and storytelling.
● Hands-On Creative Execution: Personally develop concepts and produce compelling creative across digital, social, video, and event channels, and direct agency and freelance resources to extend that work at scale. You are comfortable both doing and directing.
● Campaign Development: Conceptualize and develop integrated marketing campaign assets that resonate with our target audience and drive brand awareness and engagement.
● Performance-Driven Creative Optimization: Partner closely with marketing leadership to develop paid and organic ad creative, then use performance analytics to iterate and improve. Translate data signals (CTR, conversion, engagement) into creative decisions that strengthen campaign ROI over time.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and sales, to ensure creative initiatives align with overall business strategies.
● Production Budget Management: Own the creative production budget. Scope projects accurately, make smart build-vs.-buy decisions, creative tools & subscription selection, and hold agencies and vendors to agreed costs. Deliver ambitious creative without runaway spend, knowing when to invest and when to find a smarter path.
● Quality Control: Maintain high standards for creative output, ensuring that all content is in line with brand guidelines and meets quality benchmarks.
Requirements
● Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Marketing, or Advertising). Master's degree is a plus.
● 8+ years of creative experience, with a track record of operating as both a hands-on practitioner and a strategic creative lead ideally within B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, or a fast-growth software company.
● Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work across various mediums.
● Proficiency in creative software (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
● Excellent communication and presentation skills.
● A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of marketing and brand development.
● Proven experience managing external creative agencies and freelancers — evaluating partners, writing creative briefs, providing clear direction, and holding work to brand and quality standards.
● Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies, including the use of AI tools to support creative asset production.
