Ting Internet is a leading fiber internet provider in the U.S., delivering future-proof connectivity to over a dozen Ting Towns across the country.
As part of Tucows (NASDAQ: TCX, TSX: TC), Ting is supported by a global network of talent and resources. We operate with a people-first philosophy grounded in respect, trust, and flexibility. That’s why most of our roles are remote-first—you can work from anywhere you can connect to the internet.
The work we do changes lives. If that sounds exciting to you, we’d love to hear from you.
About the RoleWe’re looking for a Creative Design Operator—a creative thinker who works within systems, not someone who builds them from scratch. This isn’t a traditional graphic design role, and it’s not a technical one either.
This role is ideal for someone who:
Understands and thrives within AI-assisted creative workflows
Thinks in systems, templates, and scalable design structures
Wants to be part of a transformational shift in how creative work gets done
You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing and design teams to transform campaign content and brand standards into reusable, scalable design components. You won’t write code or build the tools—but you will structure and operate the templates that feed into them.
This is a 6 month contract with a chance to extend. This is a remote opportunity for applicants in Canada or the USA.
How This Role Differs from a Traditional Graphic DesignerTraditional Graphic Designer:
Crafts one-off creative assets from scratch
Works on bespoke designs for banners, ads, landing pages, etc.
Creative Design Operator:
Designs structured templates for repeatable use
Enables others—AI tools or human teammates—to quickly create on-brand assets
Focuses on scale, reliability, and system-thinking
Helps shape the design systems, but doesn’t build or own the tooling
This is an operational role with a creative heart—focused more on building the rules of the system than designing every piece yourself.
What You’ll DoDesign and maintain creative templates
Create scalable templates for ads, banners, landing pages, and other marketing assets—structured for reuse, not one-offs.Operate within AI-enabled creative systems
Use existing tools and platforms to organize design assets and inputs that flow into automated or AI-assisted processes.Collaborate to map content into systems
Work with marketers and content creators to transform campaign messaging into repeatable, scalable creative formats.Identify gaps and shape better systems
Offer insight into what’s working and what’s not in current workflows. Help guide improvements—without owning the tool development.Keep systems fresh and usable
Refine templates over time to stay aligned with brand evolution and ensure clarity, consistency, and usability.
Experience with structured design systems or reusable templates
Strong graphic design and production skills with a sharp eye for layout, hierarchy, and clarity
Proficiency in tools like Figma and Canva, including components, variables, and plugins
A mindset focused on repeatability, patterns, and scalability
Comfort working with AI-assisted creative processes
Excellent collaboration and communication skills—you’ll be partnering across design, content, and marketing
We’re evolving—from handcrafting every asset to building systems that scale creative output across teams and tools. This role is a key part of that transition.
It’s also a unique opportunity to work in the fast-moving space of AI-supported creative workflows. You won’t be building the systems—but you’ll be integral to how they run and evolve.
