We are looking for an experienced Countermeasures Manager to lead our cyber security mitigation management team in direct support of our SOC and CSIRT teams. The successful candidate will have a strong background in security architecture, security engineering, and detection engineering, with a proven track record of managing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) systems. You will be reporting to the Director, Detection and Response, working as an individual contributor you will:
- Lead the cyber security mitigation management team in detecting, preventing, and responding to security threats, while overseeing the development of effective countermeasures
- Collaborate with SOC and CSIRT teams to prioritize threats, develop mitigation strategies, and provide technical guidance on security-related matters
- Design, implement, and manage SIEM and SOAR systems to enhance security monitoring, incident response, and threat-hunting capabilities in both Commercial and FedRamp environments
- Establish and maintain relationships with security vendors, partners, and industry peers to identify emerging threats and adopt best practices
- Develop and manage security metrics, reports, and dashboards to track the effectiveness of mitigation efforts and inform decision-making
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 10+ years of experience in deploying and managing SIEM and SOAR solutions, along with 3+ years experience leading teams
- Strong experience in leading detection engineering, security technology stacks, and automation engineering functions directly supporting security operations teams
- Strong knowledge of security architecture and engineering standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- US citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the customers assigned to this role
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Expertise with ELK Stack, Google SecOps tools, and cloud security platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience applying DevOps practices and Agile methodologies to enhance security processes and workflows
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell to support automation and security operations

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
Base Pay Range
$161,000—$230,000 USD
