Our accounting team is growing and looking to add a Cost/GL accountant to our team. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Accounting, the ideal candidate is cost or GL accounting at an aerospace or manufacturing company looking for a transition into a fast-paced, rapid growth environment. This is a hands-on role, with lots of cross-functional exposure. You will have the ability to help build out our cost accounting process and provide valuable insights to our leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory movements to ensure accuracy of inventory balances and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain (purchasing, material control, etc.) teams to improve inventory costing and BOM accuracy
- Prepare journal entries, monthly accruals, and reconciliations for key GL accounts (payroll, inventory, etc.)
- Support monthly and quarterly financial close processes
- Assist in gathering support for audit PBC requests
- Prepare various ad hoc reports and other administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–5 years of experience in cost accounting, general ledger, or similar accounting role
- ERP system experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organization skills, and a willingness to learn
Desired Experience:
- Experience in aerospace and/or manufacturing
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools
Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $70,000 to $95,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary range for this role is intentionally wide as we are evaluating individuals based on their unique experience and abilities to fit our needs.
