As a Cost Accountant, you'll analyze financial data, perform month-end closing processes, and ensure compliance with accounting policies. You'll collaborate with various stakeholders for effective financial reporting and issue resolution.
Job Summary:
As a Cost Accountant, you'll analyze financial information and prepare journal entries to record assets, liabilities, profit and loss transactions, or other financial activities for the organization. In this role you will support a local accounting/finance structure, working directly with the operations and helping out with other facilities if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participating in assigned accounting and month end closing processes under US-GAAP
- Perform month-end journal entries for closing, general ledger account analysis and Balance Sheet account reconciliations in Blackline
- Collaborate with Site personnel and BSC regarding fixed asset issues and other accounting activities in your area of responsibility
- Assist with the resolution of any issues that could impact the timely month-end closing and communicate timely to the Accounting Supervisor
- Familiarize and follow all Corporate Accounting Policies in your area of responsibility
- Adhere to all the SOX procedures
- Sales and margin analysis
- Processing accruals
- Reconcile month end bookings
- Management and ownership of standard costing system
- And any other duties assigned
Required Experience / Skills:
- BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 3-5 years relevant experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with stakeholders
- Intermediate level experience in Excel and other MS Office products
- Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
- Keen on building positive relationships
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility and ability to drive process improvements as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Systems knowledge: Symix, BPC, SAP will be beneficial

Pay Range for this position is:
73,007.34 - 109,569.99 USD Annually
