Fleet is seeking a Corporate Paralegal in connection with its data center development and operations business who will be stationed at Fleet’s headquarters in Denver, Colorado.  The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to the General Counsel with direct exposure to the broader executive team, helping build and scale the legal infrastructure of a high-growth company while also providing strategic operational support to the General Counsel. The position is a highly visible role that includes hands-on, frontline work both internally and externally in the execution of large-scale data center development and operations nationwide, as well as corporate structuring, supply chain management, leasing, construction and related matters.  This is a rare opportunity to help build something significant from the ground up. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-friendly environment with limited day-to-day oversight.

 

 

What You'll Do:

  • Assisting with compliance, entity management, legal operations and related company business responsibilities
    • Performing legal due diligence
    • Conducting legal research on various legal issues affecting the company, including corporate governance
    • Assisting in monitoring regulatory compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the company’s operations
    • Managing corporate records, including organizing and updating corporate books, records and filings, and ensuring compliance with corporate formalities and regulations
  • Assisting with legal review workflows, signature processes, and document execution; and working on corporate, infrastructure, vendor, and all other Fleet transactional and regulatory matters
    • Managing outside counsel invoices, budgets and engagement documentation
    • Helping implement and scale legal operations systems, templates, contract management and knowledge management tools
    • Preparing briefing materials, action lists and executive follow-up
    • Tracking high-priority cross-functional initiatives and ensure accountability across stakeholders
    • Managing the General Counsel’s calendar, priorities and meeting preparation

 

Qualifications:

o   Paralegal certification or bachelor’s degree

o   5+ years of experience working as a corporate or real estate development paralegal in a legal department or law firm

 

What You’ll Bring:

·       Experience in drafting, reviewing, and preparing complex contracts and NDAs

·       Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills

·       Proficiency using legal research tools and software

·       Familiarity with corporate record-keeping, including legal entity and contract management

·       Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

·       Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members

·       Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards

·       Willingness to learn new areas of law about transactional, corporate, supply chain, leasing, construction and data center development and operations processes

 

Preferred Skills, Talents, and Experience:

·       Ability to operate with autonomy, see around corners and thrive in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment

·       Experience in real estate development, construction, supply chain, leasing and complex transactions

·       Experience in corporate governance, corporate transactions and legal operations

·       Experience at a top law firm, private equity-backed company, infrastructure company, real assets platform or other high-performance environment

·       Strong experience with legal entity management and complex corporate structures

·       Familiarity with real estate finance and real investment trusts (REIT) a plus

 

Location: Denver, CO office- Hybrid

 

Expected Salary Range:

 

$120,000.00 to $140,000.00 Base Salary + Discretionary Bonus
