Position Summary:
Redaptive is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Corporate Accounting Lead to support our accounting team. This individual will oversee corporate accounting (specifically cash, debt and equity). The individual will also assist the Controller in daily accounting duties.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility. This is a critical position for our growing company, and an outstanding professional growth opportunity for a motivated individual interested in expanding their responsibilities as the company expands.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Complete and/or review month end close process including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for various general ledger accounts (cash, payroll, debt and equity). Ensure accounting at the subsidiary level is accurate.
- Serve as the liaison between the company and its primary financial institution, opening bank accounts and managing other requirements.
- Take ownership of all accounting debt transactions, interest, rates swaps, and related monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, journal entries and reconciliations.
- Review accounting and reporting for all equity transactions.
- Manage all financial reporting requirements including financial statement preparation, footnote disclosures and supporting schedules.
- Assist Corporate Controller with documenting various technical accounting memos and preparing supporting documentation for financial statements, footnotes, and external audits.
- Supervise 1-2 accounting staff based in Pune, India. Provide training, mentorship and develop skillsets.
- Provide necessary support and detail to auditors and tax manager for audits and tax returns, by keeping the general ledger activity documented, supported, and organized.
- Develop and streamline processes using system automation and tools to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
Required Abilities and Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, experience in effectively communicating key data, ability to work with all levels of management and across various functions, strong Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
Resourceful, self-motivated, and proactive with a proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to plan, initiate, monitor and implement projects within a team.
Ability to identify and execute operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives to improve resource optimization.
Pay Range: $95,000 - $120,000
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
7-10 years of relevant experience including progressive corporate accounting experience and 3+ years of supervisor experience.
Technically strong understanding of US GAAP.
Experience in NetSuite, Salesforce and Carta a plus.
