About the Role:
The transcription marketplace runs on relationships and consistency, and this role is the person responsible for
both. As the Transcription Marketplace team scales, we need someone who fully owns the operational layer: the Independent Contractor experience from first contact through onboarding, the quality feedback loop, and the day-to-day communication that keeps our transcriber network functioning.
Reporting & Structure
Reports to the Manager, Strategy & Operations. Works closely with the broader Transcription Marketplace operations team.
What You'll Do
● Serve as the primary point of contact for transcribers via Email and Slack, managing questions, issues, and routine communications
● Own onboarding for new transcription Independent Contractor's: coordinating paperwork, training access, and first-week check-ins
● Conduct QA reviews on transcription deliverables, flagging issues and routing feedback to appropriate owners
● Maintain communication logs and ensure follow-through on open items
● Support the Transcription Marketplace Strategy Team with operational tasks to clear bandwidth for strategic priorities
● Contribute to process documentation as workflows are refined
What We're Looking For
● 1-2 years experience in a fast-growing startup or consulting firm
● Strong written communicator. You write clearly and professionally with little editing needed.
● Detail-oriented and consistent. QA work requires you to catch what others miss.
● Organized self-starter who can manage a queue of tasks without constant direction
● Experience in coordinator, operations, or administrative roles
● Familiarity with transcription, legal services, or independent contractor management is a plus
