RigUp is hiring a People Operations Coordinator to act as a key point of contact for employees and field workers, answering questions, talking with workers, troubleshooting issues, and helping them navigate People processes. You’ll also support sensitive employee data and organizational changes, maintain accurate personnel records, and learn how the different areas of HR work together in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid)

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee and field worker questions, helping resolve issues or connecting them with the right People Team partner
  • Communicate directly with employees and field workers by phone and email to understand questions, gather information, and determine next steps
  • Process employee changes and maintain accurate records in Paylocity, including job, title, and compensation updates
  • Prepare employment documentation and maintain personnel files and other People Operations records
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including background checks, pre-employment requirements, benefits enrollment, and new hire coordination
  • Help employees navigate benefits, qualifying life events, and leave of absence processes
  • Support employee communications and administrative activities related to benefits, including open enrollment
  • Coordinate candidate communications, interview scheduling, offer processes, and other recruiting activities
  • Maintain People Team templates, guides, FAQs, and process documentation
  • Conduct audits and help identify opportunities to improve processes and the employee experience
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of professional experience; experience in HR, People Operations, recruiting coordination, employee support, or a related field is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with systems, processes, and data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including comfort speaking with employees by phone
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • A resourceful, “figure it out” mindset with a willingness to take ownership of questions from start to finish
  • Strong customer-service mindset and genuine interest in helping employees and managers
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions or escalate an issue
