The Senior Solutions Architect develops innovative solutions and owns the E2E solution design strategy across teams. They make recommendations for new procedures and overall architectural approach, partnering with senior level Architects. They work on significant and unique issues where analysis of situation or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. They exercise judgement in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Job Responsibilities:
- Technology and Systems
- Owns technical solution on cross domain
- Owns E2E solution design strategy across teams. Authors the following artifacts: Concept Architecture, Top 25 System Impacts and E2E Solution Architecture document
- Support the definition and adoption of common software development processes.
- Prepares and maintains design deliverables that include architecture diagrams, data models, and API / micro-service architecture.
- Enforces design process standards on assigned initiatives.
- Writes advanced documentation, architecture, capabilities, limitations, and advantages for technologies.
- Produces advanced documentation and literature for multiple subject areas.
- Clearly describes architecture, design strategies, standards, technical specifications, business benefits, opportunities and threats. Routinely creates and presents executive and external materials, including white papers.
- Actively contributes to industry publications and professional forums. - Relationship, People & Project Management
- Interacts with Senior management to shape and align solutions against desired minimum viable product scope.
- Participates in formal internal training programs.
- Applies a broad understanding of the products, systems and technologies across the business portfolio and deep technical ability on integration of these components to deliver a cohesive E2E solution architecture for a given initiative.
- Translates business requirements into technical requirements that the system analysts and other technical team members drive into the project design and delivery. - Innovation and Leadership
- Lead the overall technical design and end-to end solution design for assigned initiatives.
- Ensures quality, consistency and alignment of designs to TMUS standards and digital strategy.
- Leads large cross domain initiatives that are supported by E2E Design, E2E Arch applies digital standards to project Solution Architecture, drives Technical Strategy and architectural tradeoff discussions.
- Leads the technical design process for applicable cross domain initiatives. (Capable of leading Sr. Architects on initiatives that are divided into multiple work streams.)
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explores opportunities to contribute to job accomplishments.
- Balances constraints in IT, business, delivery to deliver optimal architecture for an initiative.
- Leads design orchestration on large-sized initiatives or work streams.
- Provides input into the definition of Digital Architecture standards as they are created. - Strategy
- Owns solution design for multiple cross domain initiatives and works across domains to ensure cohesive solution.
- Reviews and identifies the gaps in the architecture and solution designs, assesses and defines remediation efforts or mitigation options.
- Drives to practical solutions considering all teams, initiatives and long-term outlook.
- Makes and implements complex decisions aimed at improving the quality, effectiveness or ability to achieve revenue, profitability and strategic goals for the organization.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, equivalent industry experience may be considered. (Required)
- 4-7 years - Related work experience.
- 4-7 years - Progressive experience in software engineering/enterprise architecture/technology leadership across multiple products, systems and/or platforms coupled with strong business acumen and executive presence.
- 4-7 years - Experience working in solutions design and enterprise architecture delivering IT solutions.
- 4-7 years - Experience in Enterprise applications, PLM, middle-tier services, database, storage, distributed computing, virtualization and/or application technology.

Base Pay Range: $103,600 - $186,900Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
