The role in a nutshell:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage our monthly/quarterly close, technical accounting, and financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements and building scalable, automated processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and knowledgeable across a range of accounting topics.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare and review key monthly close deliverables including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variances analyses, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
- Research and document technical accounting concepts, including guidance on new accounting standards and complex transactions across revenue, capitalized software, equity, leases, and other ad hoc transactions.
- Build and implement scalable accounting systems, processes and workflows, leveraging a tech-first mindset to utilize AI and automation to drive efficiency.
- Establish, document, and perform internal controls and accounting policies.
- Support external audits, including coordinating with external auditors and preparation of audit materials.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in FP&A, Legal, IT, People Ops, and other business units.
What we're looking for:
- CPA required; public accounting experience strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a similar capacity at a fast-growing company.
- Deep understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting.
- Analytical and detail-oriented with a track record of streamlining processes and close cycles.
- Proficiency with ERP and reporting systems - experience implementing or optimizing NetSuite a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively remotely
