Role Overview

The Contracts Manager supports Circana's Legal and Compliance team by managing commercial contracts, reviewing advertising and marketing claims, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to deliver practical, timely solutions.

This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders, navigating both business and compliance considerations, and continuously improving processes and ways of working. Experience may come from a legal, paralegal, marketing, analytics, or related business background, coupled with a curiosity for learning and a collaborative approach to solving problems.

Job Responsibilities

Commercial Contracting

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including data license agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), statements of work (SOWs), amendments, third-party access agreements, and related documents.
  • Assess contract requests to identify legal, operational, and business considerations and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support contract execution and ensure alignment with company policies, standards, and risk guidelines.
  • Maintain contract records, templates, and related documentation to promote consistency and efficiency.
Advertising & Marketing Claims Review
  • Review client-facing claims, marketing materials, press releases, presentations, and social media content to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and approved data usage.
  • Evaluate proposed claims and provide practical guidance regarding substantiation, acceptable use of data, and approval requirements.
  • Partner with business teams to support compliant, effective communications while balancing business objectives and risk considerations.
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Support
  • Serve as a trusted resource to cross-functional teams by providing timely guidance on contracting, claims review, and related processes.
  • Build strong working relationships across legal, commercial, product, analytics, and operational teams.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while delivering high-quality, responsive support in a fast-paced environment.
Process Improvement & Innovation
  • Identify opportunities to streamline contracting and claims review processes, improve consistency, and enhance the stakeholder experience.
  • Leverage contract lifecycle management systems, workflow tools, AI-enabled technologies, and automation solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage contract repositories, claims submission tracking, templates, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop and maintain playbooks, guidelines, and training materials to support business partners and drive process adoption.
  • Contribute to ongoing operational improvements and help advance the team's use of technology, automation, and best practices.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Commercial contract management, legal operations, or paralegal work
    • Marketing, advertising, claims review, data analytics, insights, or a related business function
  • Bachelor's degree in related field; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and provide practical, business-focused solutions.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
    • Commercial contract drafting, review, negotiation, or administration.
    • Review of marketing, advertising, promotional, or other client-facing materials.
    • Background in an in-house legal, legal operations, or compliance environment.
    • Exposure to the consumer data, analytics, market research, technology, or consumer products industries.
    • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems, workflow tools, document management systems, or approval workflows.
    • Knowledge of AI-enabled technologies, automation tools, or process improvement methodologies.
    • Experience managing document submissions, contract repositories, and tracking or approval processes.

    Location: This position can be located in the following area(s): Remote, US

    The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 USD. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
