This is a fully remote, hourly or project-based contract role (1099), reporting to the Director of People & Talent.
Note: This position requires U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles in DevSecOps, secure platform infrastructure, cybersecurity, and engineering positions requiring security clearance.
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to shape role definitions, sourcing strategies, and structured interview processes.
- Proactively source and engage passive candidates with experience in government contracting, cleared environments, and dual-use technologies.
- Screen candidates for technical and clearance qualifications, cultural alignment, and mission motivation.
- Maintain data integrity, track metrics, and report progress through our ATS (Ashby.)
- Ensure an exceptional candidate experience that reflects 2F’s mission, culture, and standards.
- Contribute to process improvements, interview training, and employer branding within defense and security hiring channels.
Skills You’ll Bring to the Team
- 3–5 years of experience in technical recruiting, ideally within a defense tech, cybersecurity, or government-facing SaaS company.
- Proven success sourcing for DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, platform, and/or cybersecurity engineering roles.
- Solid understanding of clearance levels (e.g., TS/SCI, Secret) and the nuances of cleared candidate pipelines.
- Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, and other advanced tools.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, mission-driven startup.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting defense primes, VC-backed dual-use startups, or government software vendors.
- Working knowledge of modern infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS GovCloud, and CI/CD tooling.
- Prior experience as a contract recruiter in a high-growth startup environment.
- Strong interest in national security, secure software, or public-sector innovation.
- Prior use of Ashby or other modern ATS platforms.
