The Contract Talent Business Partner is a strategic advisor responsible for attracting, sourcing, and securing top-tier talent to meet the evolving needs of the business. With a deep understanding of workforce planning, market trends, and talent acquisition best practices, this role partners closely with leadership to develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies.

The Contract Talent Business Partner ensures that hiring decisions align with business objectives while fostering a strong talent pipeline to drive organizational success. 

This position is budgeted for 8-10 weeks, starting around July 28th, 2025 but may be extended depending on business demands. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strategic Talent Acquisition: Partner with business leaders to assess talent needs and develop targeted hiring strategies that support long-term workforce planning.
  • Executive & Leadership Hiring: Lead full-cycle recruitment for critical and senior-level roles, leveraging deep industry expertise to identify and attract high-caliber talent.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and HR partners, guiding them through hiring process and candidate experience.
  • Candidate Evaluation & Selection: Leverage behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques to assess candidates’ technical expertise, leadership potential, and cultural fit.
  • Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a strong network of passive and active candidates through proactive sourcing strategies, industry networking, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Technology & Process Optimization: Drive efficiencies in recruitment by leveraging applicant tracking systems, recruitment marketing tools, and emerging HR technologies.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all recruitment activities align with company policies, employment laws, and industry best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in full-cycle talent acquisition, preferably within a fast-paced corporate or agency environment
  • Proven success in recruiting for senior-level and hourly roles, with a strong ability to influence and negotiate
  • Expertise in high-volume hiring, strategic sourcing, and talent pipelining across multiple business units
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), HR technology, and recruitment marketing tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels
  • Understanding of employment laws, compliance, and best practices in talent acquisition

PREFERRED: 

  • Proven experience recruiting within manufacturing, software / hardware engineering, supply chain, finance & accounting. 
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workforce dynamics, including high-volume hiring, shift-based scheduling, and skilled trades recruitment.
  • Experience collaborating with plant managers, operations leaders, and HR partners to develop targeted hiring strategies in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of compliance and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing talent acquisition, including OSHA standards and labor laws. 
  • Familiarity with apprenticeship programs, trade schools, and technical training partnerships to build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Track record of implementing innovative recruitment strategies, such as employee referral programs and community outreach to attract top talent
  • Strong proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Gem and other sourcing platforms, with a knack for identifying and engaging top passive talent.
  • A naturally curious mindset, always seeking to understand industry trends, hiring challenges, and new recruitment technologies.
  • Experience tracking key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality-of-hire) to continuously improve hiring strategies and decision-making
  • Experience working with Greenhouse or similar applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
