About the role
Anza is seeking a mid-level Content Writer to join our growing renewable energy software company and support sales growth and platform adoption through research-driven, compelling content. This role blends strong writing skills with curiosity, analysis, and collaboration across technical, data, and commercial teams.
The Content Writer will produce high-quality thought leadership and customer-facing content, support internal and external conversations, and help translate complex data and technical concepts into clear, insightful stories. This role will also contribute to Anza-hosted virtual discussions and in-person educational events.
This position will report to the Senior Director of Marketing and work collaboratively with the rest of the marketing team and internal engineering and data stakeholders. It requires an excellent communicator and writer who is comfortable with the following:
- Building & maintaining excellent relationships;
- Producing topic ideas from internal and external meetings and discussions, and maintaining a content calendar;
- Extracting information from internal subject matter experts (SMEs); and,
- Synthesizing complex topics and data and turning them into compelling and insightful stories and presentations.
We seek a candidate with experience in B2B marketing writing, covering technical topics, and conducting SME interviews, ideally in the renewable energy industry.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Content Creation & Thought Leadership
- Author insight articles, whitepapers, slide decks, and other content for Anza’s platform users
- Produce slide decks and video content to support webinars, events, and customer education
- Lead thought leadership development for Anza-hosted client events and collaborate on virtual discussions
- Translate complex data, analytics, and technical topics into clear, compelling narratives
- Research, Analysis & SME Collaboration
- Analyze data and interview internal subject matter experts to develop content
- Sit in on relevant customer, supplier, and internal cross-functional meetings to identify insights and content opportunities
- Develop a strong understanding of Anza’s products, services, competitors, value proposition, and target audiences
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Solutions Engineers and Product Marketing to understand customer needs and understanding gaps
- Collaborate with strategic sourcing and data teams to stay informed on supplier trends, market changes, and platform insights
- Partner with designers to identify and develop visuals that enhance written content
- Collaborate with Demand Generation and Marketing teams to adapt platform-exclusive content for broader website and campaign use
- Performance & Optimization
- Collaborate with analytics teams to review content performance
- Identify under-performing content and provide actionable recommendations to improve impact and engagement
While no one individual will possess them all, the successful candidate will bring many of the following experiences, skills, and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-5+ years of B2B writing experience for a technical, business audience
- 2+ years of solar or energy storage industry experience preferred
