Job Summary

 The Content Producer’s primary role will be to provide social-first video production across GoodPower and its affiliated brands and partners, with a focus on producing mobile-first content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and paid media. The Content Producer is a resourceful, trend-aware creative professional with a versatile skillset, a natural and engaging on-camera presence, sharp editing skills and a dedication to GoodPower’s mission to advance a zero-carbon economy. They will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to produce timely, platform-specific content that is brand aligned, visually engaging and compelling. In this position, the Content Producer will support and execute all phases of the short-form content production process, including concept development, scripting, filming, on-camera hosting, editing and platform-ready delivery for GoodPower and its affiliated entities, social media channels and online media campaigns. The Content Producer brings strong creative instincts and the ability to move quickly from concept to finished product, while producing both planned and rapid response content. This role will focus on translating GoodPower’s research, campaigns and narrative priorities into accessible, social-first content that reflects platform-specific best practices, internet culture, creator trends and audience behavior. While this position will focus primarily on short-form video and social content, the Content Producer will also support basic social creative needs including Instagram carousels, static memes and Canva-based assets as needs and capacity shift based on priorities. The Content Producer reports to the Senior Director of Video on the Agency team. This is a full-time position based anywhere in the United States. The Content Producer will work from home, meet as required by video chat with teams, and have weekly national full staff meetings with colleagues online. Some domestic travel may be required for content capture, relevant events, staff retreats and other convenings as needed. 

Key Responsibilities

 Video Production:
  • Own short-form, mobile-first video production end to end, including concept development, scripting, on-camera hosting, filming, editing and platform-ready delivery for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and paid media
  • Translate complex issues related to affordability, clean energy, jobs and economic opportunity into clear and engaging social content
  • Create content that reflects platform-specific best practices, including pacing, visual storytelling and audience behavior
  • Support creative experimentation by testing new formats, platform features, creator trends and rapid-turn concepts
  • Help steward GoodPower’s brand voice across creator-led and social-first content
  • Produce basic social media creative, including Instagram carousels, static memes and Canva-based assets
  • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, including rapid response production and turnaround, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to project requirements and high-quality output
 Collaborative Projects:
  • Collaborate closely with Agency and Social teams, outside vendors and across teams to ensure project success
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including team leads to understand priorities and needs to deliver exceptional content
 Other Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of our content processes and workflows to increase speed, efficiency and scalability
  • Perform other content production-related tasks as needed to support GoodPower and its partners
  • Adapt to the evolving needs of a fast-paced organization with flexibility and creativity
 

Qualifications

 Experience & Skills
  • 3–5 years of experience creating and starring in social content for a brand, nonprofit, agency, campaign, creator business or personal channel, with a portfolio showing strong short-form video production, editing and on-camera presence
  • Proven ability to independently concept, script, shoot and edit social video content
  • Strong mobile-first video editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, CapCut, InShot or similar)
  • Natural, confident on-camera presence, with the range to shift between clear explanation, storytelling and entertainment-driven content
  • Strong grasp of hooks, pacing, visual storytelling and platform-specific best practices across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and emerging platforms
  • Deep familiarity with internet culture, creator trends, memes and short-form formats
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, plus solid general computer skills (Google Apps, etc.)

  • Experience creating content for advocacy, political, nonprofit, clean energy or issue-based campaigns
  • Experience using Canva or similar tools to create social graphics, carousels, memes or other lightweight creative assets
  • Experience producing rapid response content tied to news, platform trends or campaign moments
  • Comfort interpreting research, policy or campaign messaging and turning it into clear, accessible social content
  • Existing expertise in the climate, renewable energy and democracy spaces
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to support content production, scripting, research, ideation, editing workflows or creative experimentation, or a willingness to learn and integrate AI tools into the production process

 Job Summary 

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks

  • Annual salary range: $80,000-87,000, commensurate with experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with employee and dependent premiums paid at 95-100% by GoodPower.
  • 2-4 weeks of paid vacation annually, depending on seniority
  • 13 paid holidays and 2 floating holidays
  • 2 weeks of US office closure 
  • 10 days of paid sick leave annually.
  • 403(b) with 3% employer contribution/match.
  • Charitable giving: 1:1 match for charitable contributions ($250 per year), plus 2 paid days off for volunteering.
