About the Role

We are seeking a talented and versatile Marketing Communications Manager to join our team as a self-directed contributor. This role is ideal for a creative and organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about the art, craft, and strategy of marketing.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in graphic design and copywriting, experience managing social media calendars, and the ability to coordinate marketing efforts across internal teams and external partners. You are resourceful, and excited to support the sales team with a proactive, “get-it-done” mindset.

 

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Copywriting

  • Create visually compelling marketing materials using existing brand templates, including social media graphics, emails, brochures, presentations, and other collateral
  • Write engaging and persuasive copy across channels, including social media, email campaigns, website content, and promotional materials
  • Apply brand guidelines to develop new, non-templated designs that align with BOYD’s visual identity and tone of voice

 

Social Media Management

  • Develop and maintain a content calendar across platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X)
  • Schedule posts, monitor engagement, and analyze performance metrics to optimize campaigns
  • Stay current on trends and implement innovative strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement

 

Marketing Coordination

  • Collaborate with the sales team to create tailored marketing materials that support lead generation and client acquisition
  • Act as a liaison across go-to-market (GTM) teams to ensure alignment on messaging and objectives
  • Assist in organizing events, webinars, and trade shows as needed
  • Manage marketing administrative tasks, including budget tracking, invoice processing, and campaign documentation
  • Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., printers, agencies, photographers, contractors)
  • Prepare reports and performance updates for leadership

 

Content Research

  • Conduct in-depth research on topics related to BOYD’s products, industry, and brand perspective to maintain thought leadership
  • Translate research into compelling insights that inform content across marketing channels, including social media, blogs, and CEUs
  • Monitor industry trends and regulations to ensure messaging remains relevant, credible, and impactful

 

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing role with responsibilities spanning graphic design, copywriting, and social media management
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or Canva
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and formats
  • Hands-on experience managing social media platforms

 

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with HubSpot CRM and Marketing Hub
  • Ability to work within established brand guidelines while producing creative content
  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience hosting Zoom webinars

 

Soft Skills

  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
  • Proactive problem solver who takes initiative and works both independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable working in a small team environment where roles evolve and flexibility is required
