We are a company built on the foundation of transforming the way pet healthcare payments are done, and we are looking for innovators who share our commitment to shaping the future of veterinary care financing. Position OverviewScratch is hiring a Content Marketing Lead to own the strategy and execution of content across our marketing, sales enablement, and partner education programs. This role will drive how Scratch earns the attention of independent veterinary practices, moves prospects through the funnel, and delivers measurable impact on activated deals and attributed revenue.
This role will deftly balance content strategy and execution. You will translate deep knowledge of the veterinary practice landscape into content that is clear, credible, and built to convert. You will partner with the Director of Marketing to develop and own Scratch’s content strategy, defining our SEO and AEO approach, building the editorial framework that connects content investment to pipeline outcomes, and ensuring every asset serves a clear purpose in the buyer journey.
Compassion and human (and animal!) relationships are core to how Scratch operates. The Content Marketing Lead will champion a human-first content standard and leverage AI thoughtfully for ideation, seeding, and enhancement to build the best content possible.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Scratch marketing, sales, and product teams, as well as a dedicated design agency. You won’t regularly be producing creative design work from concept to final product but you will adapt templates and use design tools to bring polished, publication-ready assets across the finish line.
What You'll DoReporting to the Director of Marketing, this role will be responsible for content strategy and execution across the full marketing and sales lifecycle.
- Develop and own Scratch’s content strategy, including SEO and AEO frameworks, editorial calendar, and content-to-pipeline attribution model.
- Understand and drive performance through our content-to-pipeline funnel, including audience segmentation, content engagement, pipeline attribution, and deal influence to continuously refine strategy and prioritize resources.
- Own the editorial calendar and ensure a consistent cadence of SEO-informed content including blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, and more.
- Ideate, create, and maintain sales enablement materials that help the sales team engage, educate, and convert prospects including interactive demos, one-sheeters, and more.
- Manage and produce email content in HubSpot that delivers the right message to the right audience at the right time.
- Lead social short-form content for various channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok, and more.
- Own webinar strategy and execution from topic development through post-event follow-up, including presentation content and bite-sized features that extend their reach.
- Source and build customer testimonials in a variety of formats, including quotes, case studies, video testimonials, and more.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, customer success, product, business intelligence, our dedicated design agency, and more.
The ideal candidate is a strategic content leader who is equally comfortable setting direction and doing the work. You think in funnels and frameworks but write with clarity and humanity. We’re looking for someone who builds audience understanding the hard way, through listening and experience with the customer, and leverages that understanding to drive measurable results.
- 5+ years of content marketing experience, with demonstrated ownership of both strategy and execution in a B2B environment, ideally in veterinary, healthcare, or FinTech.
- Direct experience producing content for the veterinary or animal health industry strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build and manage a content strategy that drives measurable outcomes such as activated prospects, pipeline influence, and attributed revenue.
- A portfolio demonstrating range across marketing content, sales collateral, and email copy.
Deep working knowledge of SEO best practices and a growing fluency in AEO, structuring content to generate direct answers, build topical authority, and earn citations in AI-driven search experiences. - Proven ability to develop audience understanding through primary research (customer interviews, call reviews, market studies) and translate those insights into resonant content.
- Experience with HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation platform.
- Proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and/or Canva) for adapting templates and preparing publication-ready assets.
- Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) for ideation, seeding, enhancement, and editing while still bringing your human expertise to create the best possible content.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $110,000 - $130,000
