The Consulting Digital Velocity Solution Architect (DVSA) for Observability plays a critical pre-sales role within CDW's Consulting Services team. This highly strategic, field-based position focuses on designing, developing, and positioning end-to-end Digital Velocity (DV) solutions tailored to meet the unique business challenges of our customers. As a DVSA, you will collaborate across sales, delivery, and partner ecosystems to create forward-thinking technology roadmaps, develop service offerings, and build long-term client relationships. This role is ideal for a technically adept, business-savvy professional who thrives in a consultative environment, enjoys solutioning complex technical challenges, and is passionate about driving digital transformation at scale.
* What you'll do:
* Architect and develop tailored Observability solutions for enterprise clients, including assessments, health checks, deployment strategies, and advisory services.
* Present and articulate Observability solutions that address critical business challenges through compelling storytelling, whiteboarding sessions, demos, and executive briefings.
* Partner with internal sales and delivery teams to craft strategic sales plans, scope project deliverables, and author detailed Statements of Work (SOWs).
* Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their long-term objectives and mapping technology solutions to desired outcomes.
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and key technology partners.
* Maintain a minimum of two Observability partner technical certifications, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and deep technical expertise including, but not limited to, LogicMonitor, Dynatrace, Cisco Observability, DataDog, Splunk, Elastic.
* Expand influence in your assigned territory through proactive engagement with vendors, partners, clients, and CDW field teams.
* Act as a subject matter expert across multiple technology domains; contribute to thought leadership initiatives such as blogs, webinars, and social media.
* Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives, mentor junior architects and sellers, and support enablement efforts for the broader Digital Velocity team.
* What we expect of you:
* Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience architecting, delivering, or selling complex IT solutions. Or, 11+ years of experience architecting, delivering, or selling complex IT solutions.
* Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical discussions, influence decision-making, and align technology strategy with business outcomes.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into customer-centric solutions.
* Proven ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for customer engagement.
* Ability to mentor and coach peers, fostering knowledge transfer and collaborative team success.
* Must be comfortable working in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment.
