Your Impact at The Gunter Group

As a Consultant – Business Systems Analyst at The Gunter Group, you help bring clarity to complex systems and data. Through analysis, documentation, and collaboration with consulting teams and client stakeholders, you support structured progress within ambiguous and evolving client engagements.

Deliver Structured Analysis & System Solutions

  • Execute and support the analysis, design, and implementation of business systems within defined workstreams
  • Bring clarity to ambiguous challenges by helping define scope, requirements, and solution approaches
  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements, user stories, and system designs
  • Develop and maintain documentation such as process maps, requirements, system specifications, and data/interface definitions

Business Process & Systems Enablement

  • Analyze current-state processes and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Support the design of future-state processes aligned with business goals and system capabilities
  • Use data to validate assumptions, identify trends, and inform decision-making
  • Write and execute SQL queries (or similar) to explore, validate, and troubleshoot data across systems
  • Analyze and document how data moves across systems, including integrations, transformations, and dependencies

Support Solution Delivery

  • Partner closely with technical teams to design and implement solutions aligned with business needs
  • Contribute to solution design discussions, including system architecture, data models, and integration approaches
  • Support debugging, testing, and deployment of solutions, including participation in UAT, code quality processes, and issue triage across systems
  • Assist in troubleshooting system and data issues by working across business and technical teams
  • Ensure solutions are practical, usable, and aligned with intended outcomes

Collaborate Across Stakeholders and Teams

  • Work closely with client stakeholders ranging from individual contributors to senior executives
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between business and technical teams
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Operate effectively within consulting engagements, balancing client needs, timelines, and evolving priorities
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders through reliable delivery, clear communication, and follow-through
  • Collaborate with TGG consultants and leadership to deliver exceptional quality client service
What You Bring 
  • 4+ years of experience in business systems analysis or a related field, including 2+ years in a consulting or client-facing environment
  • Strong ability to bring structure to complex, unstructured problems
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements and supporting solution implementation
  • Strong process analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in SQL (or similar) for data analysis and troubleshooting
  • Ability to understand and engage in discussions on system architecture, integrations, and data flows
  • Experience working closely with engineers to deliver technical solutions and troubleshoot issues across systems
  • Strong communication skills, including translating technical concepts for business stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
  • Familiarity with tools such as data visualization platforms, cloud environments, or scripting languages is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

The total expected compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000, consisting of a base salary and variable billing bonus component. Additional compensation may be earned through contributions to account leadership and business development. We discuss compensation and bonus opportunities openly throughout the hiring process.
