The Role
The Governance Program Support (GPS) team manages main components of Block's Compliance Risk Management Framework and is part of the broader Governance organization within Block Compliance. The GPS team has responsibility for the following functions: Compliance Policies & Training, Management / Board Reporting, and Issue Management Oversight. In this role as a Compliance Policy & Mandatory Training Manager, you'll help transform how we approach compliance education and policy management across Square, Cash App, and our other businesses. This is your opportunity to guide innovation in policy governance and mandatory training delivery while modernizing compliance programs at a leading fintech company.
You Will
  • Drive operational improvements across compliance policy and training functions, including process design, quality frameworks, and automation programs
  • Develop and implement efficient processes for policy management and mandatory training delivery using regulatory best practices
  • Lead the implementation of new compliance mandatory training programs and technology solutions, ensuring successful adoption and measuring effectiveness
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and quality control measures for the compliance policy and mandatory training programs
  • Help with system of record maintenance and oversee quality assurance metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement
  • Support compliance policy and mandatory training stakeholders with operational needs and technology optimization

You Have
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services compliance supporting a matrixed global organization
  • Experience with compliance training transformation or policy management modernization
  • Strong background in banking or fintech compliance, or risk operations or regulatory programs
  • Excellence in stakeholder management and executive communication
  • Experience in training or policy governance and related systems
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in financial services

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

$119,900 - $179,900 USD
