Compliance Learning Engagement Consultant 

Skillsoft’s Professional Services team provides world-class, value-add services that enable our customers to maximize the impact of their learning investment.  We do this through the strategic utilization of content, technology, and learning and development methodologies that drive business results.   

The Compliance Engagement Consultant  is a customer-facing role responsible for leading strategic compliance service engagements, with a specific focus on helping customers upgrade to the latest Compliance Suite offering. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with internal teams and externally with customer stakeholders to guide implementations, ensure business alignment, and to support customer corporate compliance training.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of Compliance service engagements for Skillsoft clients
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Skillsoft Compliance customers during the onboarding, upgrade, and optimization phases of their Compliance Suite Implementation
  • Proactively manage service engagements related to upgrading customers from legacy compliance solutions to the latest Compliance Suite, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
  • Partner with account teams to focus on customer specific program needs
  • Act as a liaison for Skillsoft between our customers and our internal technical teams, and provides a communication point of contact as it relates to the customer’s service engagements within the parameters of the contract
  • Conduct and participate in customer meetings virtually to collect and understand customer business needs around those services provided
  • Develop and maintain detailed project work plans, completing all deliverables on time and in scope
  • Responsible for projects can include platform implementations, onboarding management, consulting with the customer to define outcomes, facilitating live sessions, curating content, advising customers on best practices, measuring results/reporting and similar learning and development activities
  • Establish solid rapport and working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders for the duration of the project and to deliver clear value in accordance with the customer’s needs as described in the contract
  • Provide project management oversight for site implementations including site build, configurations, and integration
  • Offer guidance on product training and resource availability. Perform training as needed
  • Evaluate project risks and raise to management to develop contingency plans and to respond to change in risk factors as the project progresses
  • Verify a solid understanding of the customer's program goals as the basis for consulting making recommendations
  • Be accountable and take ownership of their responsibilities and executing autonomously; accepting responsibility for own actions and decisions and demonstrates commitment to accomplish work in an ethical, efficient and cost-effective manner

Skills & Qualifications Required

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Professional Services, Compliance Program Management, Learning & Development, or a related customer-facing role with a Bachelor’s degree; relevant certifications in compliance, project management (PMP), or learning technologies or 2-4 years with a Master's degree
  • Robust experience and understanding of regulatory training, corporate compliance program requirements, and eLearning content delivery for compliance-related topics
  • Familiarity with Compliance/LMS platforms and integration workflows (e.g., Skillsoft, Saba, Cornerstone, SuccessFactors, etc.)
  • Proven experience managing upgrade projects or transitions of enterprise customers to new software or product versions
  • Project management expertise with the ability to lead multiple complex engagements simultaneously
  • Strong client consulting skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with legal, compliance, and HR stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate actionable insights to drive compliance program success
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to effectively deliver information to all organizational levels
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, virtual environment with cross-functional global teams
  • Curious and able to learn new concepts, processes, and tools
  • Location: Remote East Coast Canada
  • Travel Expectation: less than 10% on average annually
