Role Overview

The Compliance Analyst is a dynamic, detail-oriented professional who serves as a life science compliance specialist eager to make an impact, responsible for collaborating with other Compliance Analysts on the maintenance of Porzio Life Sciences, an RLDatix Company (“PLS”) products, and the performance of compliance services. Additional responsibilities include legal and regulatory research and writing, assisting collaboration across teams with product maintenance, quality control, compliance projects, compliance report specifications, and the development of professional presentations. This role is responsible for subject matter expertise in the assigned regulatory compliance area across internal teams and customers, ensuring operational excellence in the delivery of compliance insights and services to customers.

The Compliance Analyst performs duties under the direct supervision of Managers, Directors, and VPs involved in Compliance Services and other PLS personnel in delivering life sciences marketing and sales compliance services in a supportive remote work environment with virtual collaboration tools and regular team check-ins. The Compliance Analyst receives mentorship from seasoned compliance experts. 


Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for the accuracy of product content
  • Accountable for ensuring customer needs are met promptly and with exceptional quality of service
  • Accountable for maintaining internal team knowledge on assigned area(s)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in locating, monitoring, and tracking federal, state and international legislation and regulatory proceedings related to life sciences marketing and sales compliance
  • Perform quality control of product content
  • With guidance from senior personnel, contact various state legislatures, agencies, and professional licensing boards
  • Perform factual, legal and regulatory research, in subject areas like life science compliance, transparency, life science manufacturer and distributor licensing, healthcare regulations, FDA, OIG, healthcare provider prescriptive authority, expense limitations/prohibitions, data privacy and anti-bribery
  • Participate in compliance services projects, including and not limited to compliance assessments, policy drafting and training modules and presentations
  • Prep materials for, and participate in, quarterly business reviews with customers
  • Coordinate with customers to distribute and complete appropriate discovery questionnaires, analyze and communicate assessment results, outline next steps for customer, and track project milestones through to completion
  • Assist in preparation for industry conferences and presentations
  • Collaborate with team members to assist with the delivery of premium customer service
  • Draft general correspondence, protocols, and status updates
  • Develop strong project management and organizational skills through real-world client and product initiatives.
  • Proficiency in all applicable computer and web-based programs and standard office equipment
  • Develop an increasing understanding of assigned subject matter and eventually become subject matter expert in assigned area(s)
  • Develop ability to translate regulatory and compliance research into practical strategies for customers and product features
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Highly detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and synthesize complex statutory, regulatory, and policy materials into clear, actionable insights
  • Proven academic or professional track record demonstrating strong analytical, research, writing, and problem-solving abilities (e.g., recent graduates with a strong GPA, honors, or paralegals seeking career growth in compliance)
  • Ability to quickly master the subject matter's factual, regulatory, and technological aspects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues across regulatory, technical, and customer-facing teams, including participation in webinars
  • Flexibility in schedule to travel to industry conferences quarterly and on company-related business (minimal travel expected for this remote role)
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to transport oneself to off-site project locations independent of mass transit
