We have an exciting opportunity for a Compensation Analyst! This position supports the administration and ongoing enhancement of Wealth Enhancement’s compensation and incentive programs by preparing reports and analytics that inform compensation reviews and recommendations.  The role assists with ensuring programs are externally competitive and internally aligned through data analysis in collaboration with Senior Total Rewards Manager. Compensation programs include base salary, bonus, and equity incentives as components.

This is a fully remote position.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $105,000.00, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. Primary Job Functions

Compensation

Market Analysis & Pay Strategy

  • Recommend market adjustments, salary range movements, and strategic pay positioning aligned with the organization’s compensation philosophy and workforce strategy.

  • Evaluate external competitiveness of base pay, incentive, and equity programs relative to peer organizations.

  • Participate in compensation surveys; submit data and analyze results to inform pay decisions and workforce planning.

Internal Equity & Job Architecture

  • Assess internal pay equity and alignment across job families, levels, and grades.

  • Identify pay compression, range penetration issues, and structural inconsistencies; provide data-driven recommendations to leadership and HR partners.

Incentive & Equity Positioning

  • Analyze the competitive positioning and effectiveness of incentive and equity offerings to support retention and performance outcomes.

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure total rewards programs remain market-aligned and strategically differentiated.

Program Evolution & Change Management

  • Support the design, implementation, and change management efforts for new or evolving compensation programs.

  • Develop analysis and materials to guide leadership decisions and ensure smooth rollout of compensation changes.

Bonus Programs

Bonus Program Administration

  • Maintain and update the Corporate Bonus master file to reflect compensation changes impacting eligibility, targets, and calculations.

  • Administer corporate bonus programs, including the Quarterly Spot Bonus Program and semi-annual bonus cycles.

  • Conduct annual review and maintenance of all bonus plans in partnership with department leaders to ensure alignment and accuracy.

  • Identify and manage exclusions from the standard Corporate Bonus Program, including “All Other Bonuses.”

Workday Oversight & Data Integrity

  • Manage bonus accrual processes in Workday, including running “Maintain Bonus Accrual Estimates.”

  • Review “View Bonus Calculation” in Workday to validate accuracy, including proration, leave-of-absence, and compensation change impacts.

  • Run recurring Workday reports to capture new hires, terminations, and compensation changes affecting bonus eligibility.

  • Partner with HR to ensure system updates are completed and employee communications are distributed accurately and timely.

Financial Reporting & Accrual Support

  • Prepare and deliver monthly bonus reporting to Accounting to support financial close and accrual accuracy.

  • Partner with Finance to submit bonus pool funding requests for budget review and approval.

  • Coordinate M&A-related impacts to bonus pools in partnership with Equity Management.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR on bonus communications, eligibility validation, and processing cycles.

  • Request and validate quarterly employee eligibility counts for bonus pool calculations.

  • Develop and distribute bonus calculation tools (e.g., spreadsheets) to department leaders for completion and processing outside of Workday, as applicable.

  • Provide HR with validated bonus recipient lists for semi-annual and other specialized bonus programs.

Governance & Controls

  • Ensure accurate bonus eligibility tracking, calculation validation, and alignment with approved budgets.

  • Maintain documentation and controls to support audit readiness and compliance with compensation policies.

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in business; human resources, finance, or related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or related field; 2-4 years preferred

  • Strong Excel skills and comfort work with data and reporting tools

  • Familiarity with market pricing, salary structures, and compensation principles preferred.

  • Excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and analytical problem-solving.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Experience with Workday, compensation planning tools, or reporting systems a plus.

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The entire salary grade for those who are classified as the Individual Contributor level is $87,400.00 to $131,100.00. However, the base salary range bolded above is what we expect to pay as a starting range for this position.
