From site selection to data center construction and operations, Stream develops wholesale colocation capacity and build-to-suit facilities for hyperscale and enterprise users in major markets across the United States. Additionally, Stream sources and develops low-risk land sites for optimum data center development and provides energy procurement services with a focus on reducing market risk and providing low-cost renewable energy options.

POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Community Engagement Program Director will lead the development and implementation of a scalable, enterprise-wide community engagement program that reinforces Stream’s commitment to being a community-minded, people-first organization. This role is accountable for designing signature programs, building strategic partnerships, allocating community investment funds responsibly, and ensuring consistent and impactful execution across operational markets.

The Director will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive initiatives that support business priorities, strengthen relationships in the communities where Stream operates, and demonstrate measurable social and reputational impact. This position will also play a key role in adapting to, modeling, and evangelizing Stream’s culture — ensuring our values are consistently reflected in how we show up in communities and through the people who represent us

RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise Strategy & Program Leadership

  • Lead the creation and long-term roadmap for Stream’s community engagement strategy, aligned with market expansion and business objectives.
  • Design and scale enterprise programs focused on place-based giving, workforce development, and education/STEM pathways.
  • Cultivate national nonprofit and workforce partners and represent Stream in key industry groups (e.g., iMasons, Data Center Coalition) as needed.
  • Establish and manage the corporate community engagement program budget, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting.
  • Oversee the allocation of funds for charitable giving, sponsorships, and community initiatives, ensuring adherence to internal policies, approval workflows, and governance standards.
  • Maintain controls and documentation to ensure transparency, compliance, and responsible decision-making.

Development Team Support

  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues on messaging, playbooks, and other materials to promote our community engagement program to internal and external teams to enhance local adaptation of corporate programs.

Measurement, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and oversee impact measurement frameworks, KPIs, and dashboards to demonstrate community benefits.
  • Manage internal reporting and storytelling to elevate visibility of outcomes and encourage ongoing employee participation.
  • Identify and disseminate best practices to refine strategy and maximize impact.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • 7+ years leading community engagement, corporate philanthropy, or stakeholder programs at scale.
  • Demonstrated success designing initiatives that drive measurable community and business outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to shift between strategic and hands-on execution.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Experience in infrastructure development, real estate, energy, or data centers.

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related reasons.
